  • Round 20 - our best team in 2 years??

I know our season is dusted, but outside of Lodge being pushed back to Reggies and Sitilis' neck could this be the closest to a full strength team in 2 year?

Billy Smith, Sue-are-lee-hee, Walkers on, Cheese, Gus, Egan, Watto.

Whyte and Wong went well, Brown done good.

Interested to see the team TIT picks.

Hopefully it will be teddy, Toops, Manu, Billy, Swaheelee,Kez, Walker, Brown, N. Butch, Radley, JWH, Turpin, Collins...... Smith, Whyte, Smith, Wong.
Radley should be ok, but might get a week, so may would have to come in.

I like Radley on the right edge, obviously needs to work on his combinations in attack but thought the still offered a lot in defence, took some really good tight carries and then he’s a very talented footy player so I just back him to get the timing on his hole running right.

Wouldn’t be mad if we saw out the season with him there and allowed the likes of Whyte & Wong to get some more minutes in the middle.

How far away is Watson? I thought he was expected to be back around about now.

Unfortunate old season we've had, but with players coming back, and some new guys being blooded, I think there is a lot to be excited about next season.

Whyte, Wong played quite well. Was impressed with Nat especially as he wasn’t expected to play. Turpin was a big loss early but Hutch did well ( bar a couple of below average passes from dummy half). Junior ran well, even Allen was better then ever. Good effort defending repeated sets of six agains on our line on more than one occasion.

Yeah Nat was very good defensively yesterday - he tackled everything and made a lot of very important one on one tackles. He was everywhere in defence. Well played

I liked the look of 3 big bodies rolling through the middle. Rads might be a bit too small to play that role now.. looked good on an edge though.

Did Allan play well enough to take Billy’s spot do we think?

That sounds like the same thing we heard the past 2 years.

Well he didn’t get injured so maybe.

It’s hard to get excited about any season anymore when you look at the injuries we’ve suffered since 2020..

Even if we’re going out to buy the best players, the season comes down to luck with injuries which have hurt us year after year..

Hopefully our luck changes next year!

You'd have to wonder when Radley is going to stop hitting players in the head thereby giving oppositions 6 more tackles and field position.
You could argue that the penalty he gave away doing that against Manly contributed to our loss.
Was he one of the two players Turbo 3 ran past to score Manly's winning try?
