  • Time for a miracle??

I just did the exercise with the NRL ladder predictor.
Looks like we need to win 8 from 8 to make the 8.
Sportsbet is paying $8 for us to make the 8.
If we win 7 we miss out on for and against.
If we win 8 we finish 7th and play Brisbane in the elimination final.
I'd really like to think we could do it with
    Teddy
    Toops
    Billy
    Manu
    Suaalii/ Pauga
    Kez
    Walker
    Brown
    Radley
    N. Butcher
    JWH
    Turpin
    Collins

    B. Smith
    Whyte
    Wong
    May

    I can't fit Sandon in.
I know it's possible because we did it last year,
but it's only for the true believers.
One loss from here and we are out.
We got royally reamed by the ref yesterday, and the other close losses look like they will cost us now.
I really loved the effort the boys put in yesterday.
But I blame the coach for some decisions which blew up in our faces through the season.
No one is perfect i guess, but it's a bloody shame it cost us so much.

Won’t be winning 1 game, let alone 8 in a row with Keary in the halves. He has been diabolically disappointing since 2020.

I’d love for this to happen. But even winning 8/8 I dare say we need some results to go our way which I don’t think will happen.

Robbo has left his run until round 18 which has cruelled us big time. I’d proud of the boys effort yesterday but this year should be known as a massive failure.

I like your 17, but I’d expect Watson or EButch to come in (both are due back next game).

I thought we had won some games with Keary in the halves since 2020?

Sportsbet obviously haven't factored in the impact of who will referee those 8 matches. If we could get royally rogered sideways yesterday by the corrupt, cheating officials, and if Easts are in with a tiny sniff of making the finals, you can bet your last dollar that Klein, Cummins or some other jerkoff referee will ensure they lose.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

Kez has become to predictable. Same play every set.

Good one. My bad for not providing clarification this was in reply to the rest of the seasons outlook. Just presumed you were more intelligent than that, but seems I have been mistaken.

It’s clear to me that the NRL want us out of the finals this season so have instructed refs adjudicating our games to be extra harsh. There’s no way we would have lost yesterday but for ref decisions, wrong decisions and plenty of them.

We aren't beating the likes of Eels, Storm, Broncos or Souths

Season is done, positive is the team looks like they could do with a rest....Keary for one looks like father time has caught up

Keary just needs to bite into the line. That was what made him so lethal… I still think he’s capable but likely head knocks making him more tentative. He’s had several halves partners this year too.

the ladder prediction doesn’t consider F/A resulting from games. If we put on some big scores we can come back into positive. Other teams could drop a few games. It’s not over, but it’s mighty close.

Storm aren’t convincing atm, nor are the bunnies. I think Bronx draw has flattered them. They are beatable and if the team builds on from yesterday we should at least deliver a better account of ourselves to wrap up the year.

If any of those top teams deal with injuries like we have it could break the competition open.

Sportsbet are paying $8 to make the eight for a reason, they are no charity.
Season is well and truly over not only do we need to win every game we need results to go our way and to put some big scores on to address for and against.

The top eight is pretty much as it is now in no order except Cowboys will replace the Warriors.

The first miracle is the match review committee decided not to charge Rads and JWH from yesterdays game. They must believe job done we can't make it...hope they are wrong of course!
