And yeah the game plans progressing, still plenty of improvement IMO. Was good to see we looked dangerous and it was probably Maubs and SKiDs quietest game all season. Usually they are our only options but we seemed to find other ways to make ground and score.

The kicking game was much improved.

Will be much better IMO with a 5/8 who can contribute more, a valid option.

    They carved us backward.

Fox reported 7 line breaks to 1. NRLStats has it as 4 to 1.

Think of the tries we scored.

We were lucky to finish that close.

tbh mate, i don't think they carved us up at all. We were clearly the better side for a very large portion of that match. We dominated field position like we always do against the saints but for once we could actually convert that to points, no matter the nature of how we scored.
I honestly don't remember the Saints making any clear cut breaks apart from Creagh's first try

Just watched the replay again. It was embarrassing. Instead of 2 on 3 with players arriving quickly to cover, Leilua made it 1 on 3 leaving huge amounts of track to cover by the arriving support.

True, but had he knocked it down or even caught it and run the length, he'd be a hero today. The kid made a choice and it didn't come off. It's better to make a mistake trying to do something positive and that's exactly what BJ was trying to do.

          Chook.

Did anyone watched the warriors/storms game last night, yeah, no different to the roosters/saint's game, BJ lost the game single handed for trying too hard, and inu gave not one but 3 opportunities to the storms, while they could not get out of there red zone.
With the way inu made simple mistakes one after the other in the row, I just wanna know what the match fix look like on the play ground...sounds over the top but you just wonder because you can't say it's all mistakes when you do the same thing 3 times in a row.

Talking of Sunday I don't know if he really handled his first game after his first rep game. It's something I've seen happen to players in the past. Look at Pearce he's done the rep footy thing many times now, he knows how to back up. IMO it's something only learnt from experience.

I'm waiting to judge BJ fully on next years efforts, with Baloney in the mix. Sure he's frustrating at times, but so are all kids and we have a lot of them.

Mate even babies get better with age & experience.. This bloke does neither

Defending a short kick-off is common sense, get bodies in the path to the ball and if no clear catch can be taken raise the hand high as possible and smack the ball backwards as far as possible as there'll only be fellow defenders there.

We've given up 3 tries directly off kick-offs the last few seasons, one to Uate at Gosford, Josh Morris in the infamous 60 point loss to the Dogs in 2010 and yesterday to Prior - I can't even think of any other tries directly off kick-offs yet we've given up 3 in a few seasons, that's pathetic.

We are only just ahead, we are under the pump for the last 3-4 sets, the game is in the balance, and he tries a play like that? Yeah, I'll stick with shit decision.

Their squad is streets ahead of ours.

                      We lack quality.

You get too many bodies up short, and theres no one deep....its not as simple or as common sense as you think

Bj was was not great yesterday but not even close to the diabolical performance many here have given him credit for. Watch the kick-off try again. Merge had a massive overlap and BJ was in deep trouble. He made a decision to come out of the line and go for the intercept which was in hindsight a bad one. I think even if he didn't they would have scored if they hung on to the ball.

So we have the dragons passer, the a runner, b runner (who were both cut out), plus the centre and winger all running at BJ and Tagive....

Yep. Blame the blooke going for the intercept in a 5 on 2 situation instead of the 5 ****ing numpties playing with their dicks in the middle of the field.

Had BJ stayed out, its simply another catch and pass to get rid of him, then Tagive is stuck with a 4 on 1 to deal with.

Blame absolutely EVERYONE on the field except those 2 for that last try. Especially the weak pricks who didn't simply tackle nightingale to the ground to begin with.

5 on 2 lol. I count 3 dragons on 2 roosters with 6 roosters coming across in cover. One of the roosters just misses an ankle tap on the dragons centre and within a few metre of the corner post. At least two roosters would have had a play on the dragons 3rd man in.

                                BJ made the wrong call.
