The passer and runner inside of BJ were all also wider than the next widest roosters defender. That makes it a 5 on 2.

As for the supposed cover defence... not a one of them got within 5 metres of the ball runner when the try was scored, so they were less than useless.

      BJ made the wrong call.
That's how i seen it too.

In saying that, he's an 18 year old kid who had to make a quick decision in the heat of the moment.

You can hardly blame him for making the wrong one in a situation like that.

His shocking ball handling on the other hand...

Isn't he 20 now? But I agree his poor ball handling is a much bigger concern. Over the last two years he has probably dropped the pill more than anyone else in the team.

Not to fuel the argument further, but that camera angle is often deceiving when judging how far/close the wingers are from cover defense.

You can't win this argument Danish. BJ made a bad call. If he holds back it would slow down the play and delay the pass out wide for a couple of seconds giving time for cover to come across. But I don't blame BJ for the try. It was SKDs fault for his continued shirt grabbing tackling style and then passing the virus onto Friend.

It was SKD's fault that Friend missed the tackle on Nightingale.... (his 5th miss for the day I may add)

The level of protection some fans want to give to Jake Friend is sickening

Jake missed 3 tackles. 2 innefective. Made 42.

Rein and Fien combined missed 6. 5 innefective. Made 43.

I don't know what you are getting at.

I'm sure Nightingale swatted someone else right before Jake but you conveniently didn't bring that up.

Friend is in poor form, no denying it. You're painting a gloomier picture though.

It was a good old fashioned SKD arm grab..

If SKD makes the tackle then there is no Jake Friend miss.. Both attempts were as pathetic as each other.. SKD's was first.. Had he used his shoulder then he would have at least held up Nightingale to allow Friend to finish it off..

He just tries to push the pass every time. Very frustrating.
