I was not particularly impressed with Tagive tonight ... I understand that he hasnt played much first grade footy but I was dying to see some of this speed he is supposed to have, but havent seen it yet. He didnt look very agile and showed little urgency in the kick returns. I will let him get into his groove first before I write him off as just another ordinary fringe footballer. I hope he can impress me next week if given a shot

What an odd thread. Tagive was ordinary. He is no Wendal.

I didnt think Kennedy ran with any real purpose today and he is extremely lazy when he is at marker leaving holes up middle

I thought Kennedy ran it nice and hard up the middle. But this thread is about Tagive.

I don't think Tagive did any better than Carney. So what do all those people who kept bagging Smith for not picking Tagive have to say now?

He certainly can be better than Carney, but he hasn't been yet IMO.

In the end the loss was just an unfortunate thing. We had it but lost it in a moment. I think that that was one of the best performances of the year and it can be improved. We have it there, just a matter of applying it.

LOL. I must say the Penile fellow has looked out of his depth so far. Haven't seen this much talked about pace as yet. At least the Untall One runs the pill with venom and hits like he wants to hurt someone.

                        The FlogPen .

                        You know it makes sense.

Tagive may not be our long term solution, but his presence was noted. Pearce was able to kick behind the line for him. We didn't score off it but it was a warning shot for the opposition not to compress their defense or rush up too quickly. Tagive has the speed to upset opposition defensive plans.

It's funny because the kicks that went to Tagive he caught, yet the kick that went to Perrett was dropped and led directly to a try.

Perrett, Kenny-Dowell, FPN etc have been given 80-130+ games to prove their worth, and yet still make stupid mistakes or go missing, so I am sure we can give Tagive a few more than 2 games to show his wears. Sure it would be great if he came in and instantly scored a bag of tries, but remember we currently have the worst 5/8 in the NRL.

Just give him a decent shot.
