I was not particularly impressed with Tagive tonight ... I understand that he hasnt played much first grade footy but I was dying to see some of this speed he is supposed to have, but havent seen it yet. He didnt look very agile and showed little urgency in the kick returns. I will let him get into his groove first before I write him off as just another ordinary fringe footballer. I hope he can impress me next week if given a shot

Tagive may not be our long term solution, but his presence was noted. Pearce was able to kick behind the line for him. We didn't score off it but it was a warning shot for the opposition not to compress their defense or rush up too quickly. Tagive has the speed to upset opposition defensive plans.

It's funny because the kicks that went to Tagive he caught, yet the kick that went to Perrett was dropped and led directly to a try.
Perrett, Kenny-Dowell, FPN etc have been given 80-130+ games to prove their worth, and yet still make stupid mistakes or go missing, so I am sure we can give Tagive a few more than 2 games to show his wears. Sure it would be great if he came in and instantly scored a bag of tries, but remember we currently have the worst 5/8 in the NRL.
Just give him a decent shot.
