    The future does look good.

If they keep playing as hard as that, I'll be happy.

We just need a good coach and we'll be set for good times.

Im starting to think the Ricky Stuart rumours may have some legs, hearing his remarks today about our team gives me that feeling he likes the look of our squad.
Call me crazy but reading between the lines,i think it is a strong possibility.

On a side note,Marty Kennedy was disapointing today,he seems to have lost his damaging running game!

The current squad is a very capable group but losing today really puts the team back with the pack. Possibly a season turning point.

We have a tough run the next four weeks. Newcastle game next week is a must win to help get back some confidence after today.

        Newcastle (H)
        NZ (A)
        Manly (A)
        Canterbury (H)

The team could easily dip into
A six game losing streak. Godforbid.

JWH too has been rather average since signing his contract

I think this game will be a confirdence booster for the young guys i know we lost but we can take more positives then negatives out of that match,,,dragons were strong favourites and nobody gave us a chance especially after last week and we came 4mins away from a solid win..

It might take 1 or 2 days for the boys to get over it but once they do i think they'll look back at it as a start to a strong platform to work off and get pumped and desperate for the next clash to prove to them selves they can do it..

Cant wait for the next game GO U CHOOKIS!!!

              Changes must be made.

how about you suggest a new side first before stating that

we had already made changes for yesterday's game

I disagree. I think if any game was going to be a confidence killer for this young squad it was the Melb game and they bounced back after that to beat the Warriors. And again we bounced back after the NT debacle to put in a very good effort. Mate count how many times this year a kick off the ground by a running player stops dead in the ingoal? Luck played more of a role in the Saints win than any lack of effort on our part.

                Chook.

                    We'll win 3 of those.

The boys turned a corner yesterday imo.

I was thinking that also. He was a slug out there yesterday.

We had 3 players over 24 today (Perrett, Anasta and Mini) and the average age of our forward pack was under 23 years.
When you consider our 20's players who are coming along nicely we look set for a while now, if we can keep hold of the majority of our current crop, we will be competing for the premiership in no time!
Well Said.... can't wait for Kane Evans, Moga and Sheck to ripen !!

It's a matter of would they be able to put on that same performance next wkend if not a one step ahead of yesterday's game.
The last time they did that was against the warriors then the following week, the intensity dropped and more players made simple mistakes.
Maintain the intensity level, full of energy and keep playing hard like there's no tomorrow and the result will follow.
All the best for the rest of the season boys...consistency is the goal.

I too was proud of the team yesterday....heartbroken but still proud.

And conversely, I think their confidence will only be enhanced by this game....many times over.
