Have you heard of other coaches saying that Robbo is arrogant? Which coaches said that, just out of interest?

There are teams with far less resources and. not as good a roster as us going far better than us, never forget bro that most of the media were picking us to win the comp this year including the betting agency's what went wrong bro ? you tell me.

The new breed of blamers and armchair experts who want to sack players and sign new ones every couple of weeks on a whim, after we aren't winning the same super high proportion of games as we were a couple of years ago...of course they don't understand that.

Robbo is the man. Yes we won't make the 8 this year, and that will be the first time since 2016 that we didn't make the 8, and only the second time in 11 seasons that we didn't make the 8.

To the farkin blamers and haters and know alls. We were/are due a flat period. We're in it now. It's part of the deal in the nrl. And your disregard and disrespect for the coach who has provided more for us than any other coach we've ever had, is utterly embarrassing. And shows how little you know.
Just like you are sick of the " blamers and know alls' and like to call people clueless or negative for stating an opinion opposite to yours, I am sick of people on here criticizing fans for voicing their outrage that a squad this talented is in the shape that it's currently in, largely due to poor on-field coaching.

Why is it part of the deal with the NRL? Because you say it is? Because the Tigers, Dogs, Titans, Saints are usually sh-t so it's our turn? Doesnt work like that. Theyre not the litmus test for success and failure. We set our own benchmark and we are well below our own lofty standards. How many teams have been close to odds on favorites to make a GF and then finished in the bottom 4? It is Robbo himself who set the mantra for playing for premierships,, now he needs to stand by that.

We are different to nearly every club in the league and hence the standards are different. I don't recall Melbourne missing the 8 recently and as another mentioned, if the Riff's current mob didn't aim up and ran 14th there would be a large scale inquest aswell.

Face facts. The team is playing poorly and Robinson has showed in the last 18 months that he cannot find a way to beat top teams in the 6 again Era. His ideas are antiquated. Doesn't mean I don't love and respect the bloke for what he has done for this club, but it does mean that his position should be heavily questioned should this form continue.

Someone in the media said it. It was after the 2 premierships and then they have the coaches conference to discuss new rules etc. It was as a result of that. Said he was off with some coaches. Didnt name them. Maybe it had a lot to do with tall poppy syndrome. I can't remember who in the media it was.
I do remember watching some pressers around this time, 2020, when you could see his responses were at times a little more 'direct', or disrespectful. He was never like that before.

I still want him as our coach though. The grass is not always greener.....

So I take it that you accept the mediocre results caused by our ineffective attack and high number of missed tackles and our inexcusable ill discipline at times?
We have underperformed badly this year and the coach always bears the brunt of the results. He’s enjoyed multitude accolades for his three premierships and deservedly so, but there are two sides to everything. You’re lauded when successful and you’re criticised ( justifiably ) when results don’t reflect the quality of your squad.
The 4-20 stat is something I wasn’t aware of and it frightens me as it shows how far behind we are at the moment. I can’t see the Storm ever having a stat like that, and they are held in the same regard as we were until recently.
I’m not saying sack the coach or half the team as we do have some talented footy players, but it’s up to the coach to bring the best out of them .

I’ve stopped listening to what he says.

Can you tell me what he said this time that makes you feel so confident that he still is the right man for the job? Did he say that he has really enjoyed the recent games? Maybe he made another reference to “the roosters way”? Maybe he said that he really enjoys coaching when things aren’t going well?

im sure he didn’t say that we’d be lucky to beat the tigers with the way that he has coached this year.

Love the optimism and agree with parts. Question though, when are Penrith due their flat period?

So Robbo said a few nice warm & fuzzy things today which enforces your view he is definitely the man to lead us back as a premiership force.

                        Wow that's very in-depth.

You sound like the kind of person who would hand over his personal details over the phone to someone called John Smith with an Indian accent who sounded nice.

Robbo has a 4-20 record against real top 4 teams recently & everything he's tried this year hasn't worked.

Yeah lets blame the negative fans who have coached a fantastic roster into the bottom 4 this year.

at some point. inevitably. they are a magnificent team. Like we were. At some point they will regress though.

everyone was asking exactly the same question about us in 2018 and 2019

By no means directed at you 75 but coming 14th is a disgrace, agreed. My question is, we can all point to the problems but where is the fix? What coach do you want? who is off contract? Maybe a coach who has 2 or 3 premierships over the last 10 years? I'd say there'd be more than half the comp who'd want Robbo if he was sacked and we'd be no better off with a coach who's looking for an opportunity. Unfortunately this place is like Supercoach with the buying and selling of players. Teddy's had a few bad games, Rad's isnt up to scratch. We all want the best of these guys, but sometimes it's not possible. Has Robbo done well this year? Not a snowflake's chance in hell. Poor decisions and I question his "hands on" involvement in training, but i'd be confident in saying there would be a double digit of teams willing to sign our coach should he become available. This year is f@(&ed. We don't often have 2 poor years in a row. Get behind the lads and give em some support.
