You’re right, we should all accept mediocrity as this was inevitable and is 100% outside anybody’s control.

What a joke. Go support a rabble club elsewhere if you have such low expectations.

Walker deserved to be dropped- Andrew Johns, Phil Gould,Greg Alexander, Mal Meninga were just a few who said he needed to go away and work on his game-and dropping him would do him good. Manu wasn't seeing enough of the ball and had previously played well at 5/8. No one was complaining when we won our first 2 games with Manu at 5/8....and unfortunately Walker got injured.

I'm not sure what you mean with Nat & Egan in the starting team?? If there was one or the other you dont rate and think they shouldn't be in first grade then fair enough. These days reserves are just as important as starting players.

I agree about Hutch-i have said in posts before a ball was kicked that it isn't fair to play Hutch anywhere besides 5/8 or back-row....but that left centre spot has been a nightmare since Jmoz retired and before he arrived. Momo hasn't worked out even when fit. Nick Politis would be regretting the pulling of the offer with Latrell- but when he did we all applauded saying that's called strong management. Running a NRL team isn't a easy gig- neither is coaching
Funny because Andrew Johns, Phil Gould Greg Alexander and Mal Meninga also said it was a mistake to drop Walker. Forget what the talking heads on TV have to say. A couple of weeks back Gallen gave his expert take on the Roosters. He wasn't even aware that Walker was out injured or Suallii was suspended. And you're right, nobody was complaining when Manu was put into 5/8, 1st time Hutch went to centre, swap of Keary and Walker, taking Suallii off the wing etc etc. We were however questioning leaving them out of position for so long when the experiments failed and failed badly. I don't know about Nick's thoughts on Latrell, but pulling his contract suited me fine, and still does. I can only remember a handful of games I've actually seen him play since he left. He seems to be off the field more than on it. He must be on a $100K a game or $20k a run by now, and he is only gonna play less as he gets older.

As fans, we are well aware we have no say in regards to the Roosters organisation, and most don’t want any. But at the end of the day this a fan forum to celebrate successes and vent frustrations and here is a little tip for you… there hasn’t been many successes to celebrate this year.

Are you happy with the clubs performances this year?

Because frankly, I find it embarrassing.

14th most seasons is bad. But I think what is particularly galling is that we're 14th in the weakest, lowest quality season of the NRL era.

The Broncos are first. And they're merely above average. We beat the Warriors twice and they're top 4 ffs.

2023 was a golden opportunity to make a Premiership run. Instead we've pulled up lame in an all time disappointing Roosters season.

            I still love Robbo.

Robbo is on the Mt Rushmore of Roosters legends and has brought us more joy than perhaps any era for Roosters fans. And he absolutely deserves to continue as coach. He's earned it and there also aren't more than 10-12 first grade standard coaches in the NRL.

But, as bad as the star players have been, Robbo has had an even poorer season than them.

But again, I'll back him to strike back in 2024. One more poor season though...

One more thing because I really don't like your type. Us mediocre people go to Easts games win, lose or draw, year after year. Yeah some say it's a mediocre life. I prefer to call it passionate.

The new breed of blamers and armchair experts who want to sack players and sign new ones every couple of weeks on a whim, after we aren't winning the same super high proportion of games as we were a couple of years ago...of course they don't understand that.

Robbo is the man. Yes we won't make the 8 this year, and that will be the first time since 2016 that we didn't make the 8, and only the second time in 11 seasons that we didn't make the 8.

To the farkin blamers and haters and know alls. We were/are due a flat period. We're in it now. It's part of the deal in the nrl. And your disregard and disrespect for the coach who has provided more for us than any other coach we've ever had, is utterly embarrassing. And shows how little you know.
Everyone else is an idiot except this clown who can't admit that Robinson fukked up.
Why can't it just be ok to have different opinions?
This holier than though rant is pathetic.
It's full of rubbish and makes the poster look like a fool.

in many ways which have already been outlined here over the past few months.

What a pathetic reply..... YOU started the thread..... God knows why.
                    What did you expect?
Everyone to come out cheering for you being the one to show us all the error of our ways.
To thank you for calling anyone who doubts the guru without a clue an idiot.

That’s me Mate. I go to every game no matter how we are travelling. I’m from Bondi but as I write this I’m sitting on the sand at Broadbeach. Can’t wait to get there in a few hours.

                          How good!
Have you been to every Roosters game this year?

I cant see 2024 being any different to this year.
We have bought a winger and a bench prop for next year.

Will ..... we change the Roosters way? I hope so, because it doesn't work anymore in Vlandy"s touch footy.

My take.....after the glow of '75 subsided, I've enjoyed us win a few GF's, choke on several others....in the main we were there making up the numbers, all fine with that, we had our moments.
Lets face it, any half competent coach would have won those recent GF's......Robbo's player roster was second to none. He is now another average coach with a less than average side.
                                Simple really.
