  • Who the Roosters should target - Good Fox League article

A good article about who every club should target. Some interesting suggestions here about Sam Walker needing a bigger 5/8th to play next to after Keary finishes up.

"Who they should target: If Sam Walker is the club’s long-term halfback then he needs a hooker capable of taking the pressure off his halves and a big body at five-eighth to complement his game. Walker has all the skills to dominate at halfback, but he needs his pack going forward and a big No.6 to take some pressure off with his running game. There is not much on the market in the spine that is better than what the Roosters have now.

In the halves Jaeman Salmon and Jack Cogger could be options if they want more opportunities to play first grade as they are currently stuck behind one of the best halves duo’s in the comp in Nathan Cleary and Jarome Luai. Landing Dean Hawkins from Souths could be an opportunity to fire a shot at their arch rivals. The hookers coming off-contract include Jake Granville and Jayden Nikorima, so they might have to entice someone to break contract or a club to let a hooker go. A reunion with Sam Verrills would be another option, but that would be dependent on the Titans granting him a release".

The line about Verrills coming back is pretty silly but there's a few suggestions here people might like.

Tyrell May would suit that author's suggestion but im fairly sure he's Belmore bound.
BIG NO to Dean Hawkins. He ain't a big body and nothing special.

With very little available on the open market Chooks have to look within for other options.

Not sure if anyone else has seen but ... apparently we've identified "Phillip Sami" as a replacement for Suaalii and we may offer him a contract in the future.

      Pretty random.

Last night, off the Broncos bench, came

          Xavier Willison

age 20 6'6" and big, heavyish

made a run at the line, and dragged players with him as he scored a try.

Why is he not playing for us?

How do you rate Cogger and Salmon?

Do you mean Terrell May who plays for us?
                      We should keep him.

Quite a lame article. Anything that suggests Nikorima coming back loses any credibility

We have the talent - just need our coach to get some red hot assistant (s).

I mean his eldest dikhead brother who has a chequered past off field.
                            Perhaps his name is Tyrone.

                              Hey Shadow
Super happy for Cogger to see him realise his potential but he's small in body type so that wouldn't help our situation I.e. 2 x small half's.

Salmon like Cogger plays great in the Riff structure. Would be interesting too see him ply his trade under a different set-up.
He's also got a bit of dikhead about him so??
