We are not a merged entity with anyone.
St George Illawarra is a new club formed with the merging of 2 old ones.
Shaun Timmins for example, played for Illawarra. He then played for St George Illawarra. If we are to assume that by playing for St George Illawarra is the same as playing for St George, then what do we do with the games that Illawarra and St George played against each other? Do we cound them twice? Were these players all playing with themselves?
How about the tigers? In 1948 did they play themselves in the grand final, beating themselves 8-4 and collecting both the premiers and runners up silverware?

And you're spot on Greedy, it shouldn't matter who wins the game.

Wests Tigers captain Robbie Farah was the official man of the match in last Sunday's City-Country clash but the award wasn't made public as Channel Nine immediately switched from the game to their evening news bulletin at full-time. Farah was chosen as the best player on the field by respective City and Country chairmen Geoff Gerard and Jock Colley but whether it helps his Origin prospects remains to be seen as rival hooker Ryan Hinchcliffe was man of the match in the corresponding game last year and missed NSW selection.
LOL, that's 2 games in 4 days I could've sworn Pearce was MOTM and it was awarded to others. Fark me even Rusty would've given Pearce the gong I bet. Bizzaro.
The FlogPen .
You know it makes sense.
