I'd be more interested in the services of Adrian Lam than I would Lachy Lam.

He had his chances. Brodie Croft looks like Cooper Cronk playing ESL at the moment. Just signed a multi-million dollar 8 year deal.

No disrespect to Lachy Lam or Brodie Croft, both were competent players on their day and still young, but they went from fringe NRL to stars overnight, basically confirms the standard of the ESL in general or at least the style of play over there being more conducive to young halves given the looser attacking structures in place.

I'd rather have his old man. Trade the woke joke for the PNG Porn Star.

I think Adrian would be long odds to coach the roosters. He was considered a bit of a disaster at Wigan but is obviously killing it at Leigh. I think before that he was literally coaching kids. I’ve never been that impressed by him in interviews but the same could probably be said of Bellamy and he’s one of best of all time.

I could probably talk myself into it the more of think about it

Great to see our ex-Roosters killing it in the SL. Watched the game on the weekend, Leigh just hung in there and Lachie set up a couple of tries in the 2nd half which was enough. Proud of him and his old man. Player of the match.

Always had the talent, and think he will come back an even better player for the experience. Be surprised if he doesnt get picked up somewhere in the NRL. It still irks me how we kept Hutch on instead of Lachie. Some of our recruitment decisions have been poor these past few years.

Wembley bound. No silence of the Lams just yet!

England is a great place to develop halves cause the game is a little slower and there is less pressure.

If he comes back to the NRL you might find a way better player than the one that left the chooks
I thought this was a very good post. Halves and props take a long time to peak but they get little chance to prove themselves and gain experience in the NRL unless they are elite from the jump. I could see Adrian Lam making it in the NRL. He was not that far off the pace in his first crack.

Great to see Lachlan ripping in over there but unfortunately he looks like he's going to end up being another "Super League Specialist"

I'm also happy to see his old man doing well. Something to keep an eye on in the near future for us maybe !?

I reckon Lachie's shortcomings in the NRL came down to belief.

No doubt he has ability, but just seemed to lack that confidence needed to be a regular NRL half. Happy for him that he's doing well over there. He comes up against another Cloey Croc in SKD, Fitting.

I agree with that Huzza. Always been a fan but my only slow for him was he was too respectful to his senior teammates. Ya gotta own it and take the reins.

It must be bloody hard on young halves to get that happy medium to be the boss but not piss everyone off in the process.

Thinkin of Jacko and young Sam a bit here too.

Well it might have got lost over a big sporting weekend, but there was a Challenge Cup final decided at Wembley last night with Leigh Leopards def Hull KR 17-16 in golden point.

Lachie Lam field goal the matchwinner. He also got the Lance Todd trophy as player of the match.

So pleased for him and Adrian...the long embrace between son and dad post game was pure emotion and joy. Rugby League is a funny old game with its twists and turns. Some highlights attached.

He was good mates with Teddy, I wonder if it played on his mind being a fringe first grader. I was a big fan and rated him, posting on here many times it was only a matter of time before he properly clicked. He never really did. Maybe UK is his grade, or maybe he just needed that extra half a second to find his game.

Hastings won the man of steel in the UK
he'd be lucky to be the tin man in the NRL

And congrats to him too. He's been very good since coming back to Oz and has been a key part of the Knights season this year. Picked up an injury today though.

Congrats also to another former Rooster & Leigh capt John Asiata.
Appears to still have the smarts and ball playing skills.
