  • was the two points a good option

the penality coward gave away for back chat, was it the right descion to kick for goal.
we had a 6 point lead with 10 to go.
i would of had another crack at them for a set of six (approx 1 minute) , leave the ball in the in goal if you dont score and get the drop kick back for another set of six. theres 3 minutes gone. i know this is hind sight but. look at it. how many teams turn off after a field goal attempt.
i dont believe that pearce insisted on it instead of keeping on the pressure. we had the essendency and i believe we would have scored from that play. 12 point lead with 4 minutes left. the boys wouldnt drop off.

    Don't be farrken stupid.

When you're leading by 6 with 10 to go you take the 2 every time!

Of course you take the 2 - it's a no brainer when there was about 7 mins to go and you are up by 6.

We just did not man up after the kick off.

Also in hindsight if Soward does not give a penalty away at that moment for mouthing off the dragons are forced to drop kick it out and that gives us a minute to use up and possibly go for another field goal. That penalty did work for them but it's a goal you take every time.

Of course you take the two points Its a no brainer I saw one poster last night saying we shouldnt have taken it I am sure that same poster would have come on here howling had we not taken the two points and lost the match from there

You throw everything at them and take the shot on the last.

I bring up the Warriors game a few years back. The one we lost 31-30 after not taking a shot at goal.

No mental lapses in the last five minutes and we win by 8.

There was 5 minutes to go actually, not 10.

Taking the 2 was the safe option, however personally I would have chosen to take the tap and waste another minute of play before rolling it into the ingoal to try and get another set.

Funnily enough, if they don't get penalised there and take the line drop out as planned, I reckon we win. We'd have wasted another 20 seconds with the line drop out, a full minute with the ensuing set, then either walked away with points or another repeat set with 2-3 minutes on the clock = end game.

                  It was the right option.

We can't score tries that close to the line.

Or we also could have dropped the ball on the 2nd tackle Then they score level the socres up and win it from there On law of averages or whatever you want to call it Your theory is proabaly right

However had we not taken the two and lost I think most people would have laughed at the suggestion that we still would have lost had we taken the two

Taking the 2 in that situation was a no brainer We will win far more games than we lose doing it from that position I only hope we dont change tact on this because of what happened yesterday

If stupid Anasta had kicked the easy conversion, we would have been leading by 8 and could have taken the tap rather than go for goal.

The funny thing was as he was lining it up, I said to my wife (who is not a footy follower), "Anasta kicked a really hard goal before, so he is a dead cert to miss this one" and sure enough he didn't let me down. H

It is bad enough that he is such a bad footballer, but the fact that he is not even having a dig while guys like Pearcey and Mini are busting their humps is a disgrace. Even his mates on Foxsports were lambasting him last night for being lazy and not having a dig. He should be stripped of the captaincy and dropped to Newtown IMMEDIATELY!!!

I mean even though I am not a Sam Perrett fan, you can never accuse him of not having a go unlike our diabolical 5/8

No idea that conversion wasnt that easy He was kicking directly into a strong headwind

I ahte Anasta but bagging him for that miss is wrong IMO
