  • What's everyones thoughts on Dean Pay as a coach???

I am in no way joining in the "Smith must go" chorus, but as a future coach I reckon he has a lot of merit.

    Thoughts??

Currently coaching the under 20's SOO side and doing a good job from what I saw. And doing his NRL schooling under Bellamy I believe?

      Chook.

Trent Robinson is another one to throw in the mix, Pay is a very good communicator

Smith & Bellamy to my knowledge come off contract at the same time, so I just cant see why the Roosters wouldn't honour Smith's contract till the end of 2013 & then sign Bellamy. Why think about getting Pay when the Roosters have the opportunity to get Bellamy.

Their is probably a chance Pay would come with him if he didn't take over the Storm.

I just can't see Bellamy coming to the Roosters, where the mechanics of how the club runs is so different, the media strutiny is far more intense and he will not get away with the same tactics that make him so successful at the Storm.

Dean Pay is another matter. He has spent time at the club, has an idea of how it operates (and who runs it) and would take those factors into consideration when making a decision whether to return.

Pay is a no nonsence type of bloke who takes no crap and who I reckon would be a great addition to our club in whatever capacity he came in.

Imagine the brain haemorrhage Rothfield would have if we put Bellamy and O'Sullivan back together again. He'd have a complete meltdown writing the article, frothing at the mouth, eyes bulging. Add another mark to the pro side of the ledger pls someone.

              Chook.

Yes Fran Paul would certainly goto an even higher level under the coaching Pay

I liked Dean Pay as our defensive coach back in the day.

Was sorry to see him go.

                  Hard prick.

I think Pay would make a great NRL coach.

Stuart with Pay as assistant would be perfect.
