    JT hands down.

i still dont know about Bellamy, without the big 3 how would he go...He did very little as NSW coach.

JT is young and learning still and is already a great coach, in 2014 some of the boys his training now will be coming through the ranks and they will look up to him. and he will know there games very well.

      Is this just some fantasy?

I dont get it. Half the coaches on your list coach other teams & are contracted.
If anything happen to Smith this year Elliott would take over. He would then probably be given the gig for 2013.

      After that who knows?

You're right - you don't get it. If contracts meant everything - then why so much talk on this forum about whom would be the best coach for the Roosters? As for Elliott taking over, why is that a given? Why not Smith's son or JT?

Exactly the same story with the Broncos coach that has done so well since he started.

I agree with this. Jason Taylor has a very smart football brain. I think he will be one of the top coaches in the game within 5 years.

Craig Bellamy is a myth told to children whose parents want to get two paychecks.

JT without a doubt. You hear a lot of praise for JT from the youngsters, about how much their games have improved thanks to him.

I think it is painfully obvious that once Brian moves on (whether he is booted or sees out his contract remains to be seen) it will be either Taylor or Elliot. Elliot is a madman whom should perhaps be kept on as a mentor for the forwards but nothing more.

Taylor is damaged goods, he seems to go well when there is no pressure on him, coaching Toyota cup is a lot different to caching NRL, IMO he has a problem with pressure. he also has a bag of issues that surfaced at Souths, I say go for a proven NRL coach, Bellyache, Stuart or even Nathan Brown from Super League, he is ready for NRL.

                        Anyone but Elliott really.

He's useless and i can't comprehend how anyone would want him as a head coach.

I hate the fact that he's our ASSISTANT coach ffs.

                          JT for me.

                          (1) He has shown he is good at developping young blokes
                          (2) He will already have the respect of the young blokes that have come through the ranks
                          (3) He will be mature enough to manage men this time around
                          (4) Having been dumped by Souths, victories over the rabbits will always mean that little bit more to him......just as they should

Whoever is coach, I think they should have good people around them as well (assistant coaches, fitness trainers etc). Support staff are just as important as the lead role.

I would also like Smith to stay involved with the club in some capacity (possibly coaching director or some sort of management role). Regardless of what you think about his coaching, he has turned the club around since he has been here - getting rid of the trash, building good team spirit, bringing in clubmen like Fitzy, focusing on talent coming through the ranks and generally changing the culture around the place. I would like POS and Smith to both be involved with the club into the future.

What bag of issues are you referring to? I just thought he got on the turps with the players on the mad monday, which he shouldn't have & Fa'adrongo blindsided him down the steps of the pub, which the lowlife was renowned for, king hits etc. This was a mistake by a young coach, nothing more.

                              JT.

He actually did ok as Custodian at Parra and took Souffs to the finals - something no one else has been able to do for a long time.

His issue at Souffs was more about moronic players not respecting him, and the fact he though he could still be mates and go have a drink with them at Season end...

He is already in Charge of the NYC guys and they seem to respect him. - And most importantly he has been doing well with them. Makes sense if he can keep a lot of those guys coming through.
