SKD is the worst defending centre in the NRL. We have waited 5 years for him to change his style and learn the proper tackling technique but nothing has changed. The days of "he is still leanring" are over. A stint in Newtown will achieve absolutely nothing. I have just learned to accept it and bag him every time he concedes a try as therapy. Apart from his defense he has other flaws in his game but we will not drop a player on marquee money and with our other options, we really can't.

Vasco I can see you lack reading comprehension skills. Therefore I have re-quoted the original post which calls for SKD to be dropped to Newtown. I have agreed that his defence needs improving. However, I disagree that he should be dropped to Newtown. Now as you saw it fit to weigh in with your 2 cents worth could you either address the question posed or stop trolling. Thank you and I appreciate your consideration in this matter.

His lack of improvement in all his 5 season's in grade is the biggest worry.

Still the same try-scoring klutz that made grade all those years ago.

The real question is - does his attacking potency outweigh his defensive defficiencies ?

I'd say - no. The bloke deadset concedes a try every game on average.

I have avoided the question because it's not really relevant to what we are discussing. SKD's defence has been abysmal yet you claim that his form has been "strong".

I consider "strong" form that of Josh Morris, Michael Jennings, Will Chambers, Justin Hodges etc.

I couldn't give a fark what kind of money he is on. If someone isn't performing regardless of their salary then their position should be reviewed.

Just like people have no doubt called for you to be sent back to the Jets forum for a week after several bad performances.

BJ and Maubs to the centres. At least they have a clue. Did you see SKD's attempt at making a tackle from the short kickoff. Tried for a one armed grab. They were even bagging him on 2SM sports show. Remember he is an international and playing like an average A grader at best.

Were you better at defence or attack before you retired.

I retired at 16 it started getting a bit to tough for me but when I played, I played in the halves & used to love tackling, some people like tackling some dont.

But SKD is not the worst defender in the game. Watch Michael Jennings next time he is on TV & have a look at how woeful he tackles or should I say attempts to tackle.
