Hope the players don't think that way. When was the last time attack won you the comp? I would have to pick 2005 when the tigers knocked my mob off, that year it was 2 great attacking, free flowing teams in the big one. Since then it has always been a well structured and great defence minded team that has taken it out. With the wrestling taking over the game it has never been more clear cut that defence will win you the comp.

While we're still on playing second rowers in the backline how about Guerra to replace Pearce? Yeah SKD is a dud defender but I'd rather have some shoddy defence than next to nothing in attack.

skid can always be replaced, he is not the team nor even a crucial part of it, he continues to underperform week in week out, it really might be time for him to get his confidence back via reserve grade, we do have competent reserves who frankly wouldnt do any worse?yes i watch every game and go to every home game as well as some away games

SKD for mine and daylight second. For his size, he is useless. Must have a stint for Newtown.

Okay, well I did check the stats out, and the only times Maloney was outright 'leader' for most missed tackles for us was Round 6 and 7. He was equal with Cordner in Round 3 but that's also a game were he made near 25 tackles, 2 linebreaks and scored our only try.

Also saying Carney will be number 6 based on missed tackles is odd. He does only miss 1.9 per game compared tl Maloney who misses 2.8 per game but considering Maloney averages 18 tackles a game to Carney's 13 it's actually equal at 85% as far as tackle success is concerned.
And how many crucial tackles has Maloney missed this season anyway? He often moves up and gets fended off only for the attacker to go nowhere, the defence isnt theatened, but it still counts as a missed tackle.
