Tongan prop Siosiua Taukeiaho is set to return to the NRL after being granted a release by Catalans at the end of the Super League season.

Taukeiaho joined the Perpignan-based club this year from Sydney Roosters and after making just seven appearances for the Dragons in an injury-blighted season he requested a release for family reasons.

"It’s been a disappointing season with the number of injuries I have had," Taukeiaho said. "I love this place, I wish I could have stayed longer but I need to put my family first.

"I remain 100% focused on my objectives with the club until the end of the season. I will do everything to get my body right to help the team to win the competition.

"I haven’t signed anywhere else. If that happens, both clubs will then negotiate."

Catalans boss Bernard Guasch said the Super League ladder leaders would seek to negotiate a deal if Taukeiaho finds a new opportunity in the NRL.
Fingers crossed he comes back. He'll be fresh and ready to go after his paid holiday in France.

You answered your own question in your previous post.
As you said they played his interview on NRL360 last week where he said his body was busted so there is no way the Chooks will have him back.

That was more than a year ago. Things have obviously changed! He's back and want's to play in the NRL.

I'd sign him in a heart beat.

Same he would still be in top 10 props in the game
          31 isn’t old for a front rower
would be amazing with Collins, jwh, Leniu and sst in the front row rotation
$500k is cheap for a good prop, average wage is $400k so $500k is a bargain

Read that he signed a two year deal for $500K each year with the Bred Not Bought mob.

Hasn’t he just signed with the dogs?
