the premise this article is written on bemuses me. to suggest we are going to offload pearce to get SBW is ridiculous. firstly because we have room under the cap from ryles, myles, carney and secondly because pearce since debuting at 17 was our long-term choice at half

Reason being, he was cheap & versatile off the bench. He was playing for Wenty FFS, he's not the superstar alot seem to think he is!

If we lose Pearce, who has been groomed from the age of 17 as our long term halfback, who qualifies for salary cap exemptions when he hits 27 and is just starting to show his potential and replace him with a slow, soft, one season wonder "halfback" in Mortimer, I will seriously question the mental health of the people making the decisions at our club.

            There I said it.

Yeah the reason was we needed some experienced backup for Pearce and Anasta in case of injury and rep duty.

One question, why does an Easts fan have a Bulldogs logo as their avatar??

Quite simply - Pearce is not A priority - he needs to be THE priority.

I don't believe there is any other player on our roster who would leave a bigger dent in the club if he left.

Weight for age he is up there with any halfback in the comp.

He is the most important player moving forward, for this team. I don't really care how much it costs to keep him. They had better make sure they don't lose him.

I think he will stay but I imagine there will be 5-6 clubs after him.

Saints, Dogs (if Foran stays) and Souffs all have shit halves and I can see them throwing the kitchen sink at him.

So either these experts know more than the Dragons coaching and recruitment staff about identifying talent or they know sweet fark all about it? I wonder which it is...

                            Chook.

The same recruitment and coaching staff that tried to sign Tim Moltzen last year...

So yeah, I think their judge of footballing talent is probably pretty iffy

Huh. Smith won't be here in 2013 right? I thought he loved the Roosters and that's why he wanted JWH to stay?
