As Foran is staying at Manly (Snake and Lenny must leaving) then the dogs will be looking in our direction. That probably means Mortimer because of the family connection.

      John,

The dogs dodged a bullet with Parramatta signing Mortimer last time..

Why would they put themselves in the firing line again..?

Yes, I believe he could be..

Now that's not really saying anything though, is it?

Seriously no but if Pearce is going to dominate the ball like he did the other day I'd be happy to see Morts there.

                  Chook.
Parramatta, Melbourne and Wigan wanted Finch, Go Figure

Wigan are shit, Parramatta haven't had a decent halfback since Sterlo and Melbourne wanted everyone.

There isn't many good halves around so teams with shit ones like Souffs, Saints, Dogs and Parra will pay overs for them.

                    Pearce will stay anyway.

FMD he is a SOO half back on the market after next year. Of course the Dragons will make a play as will other clubs.
Decent half backs are a rare commodity let alone a representative one becoming available.

We have gone after plenty of rep players off contract and missed out. A few clubs went after JWH. The Tigers went after BJ. Plenty will be after Tasi. So it is inevitable that some will be after Pearce. It is up to management to keep him here whether that be with money and/or coach.

                        Totally agree.

He is on about half of what Foran is being offered..

If Nick keeps packing that folding stuff into paper bags, he will be here forever...

                            There I said it.
I thought it was 8 years service?? So at 25 he is eligible!

So is that 2014 that he is eligible? Mini will also be definitely be retired by then so we have $200k free to play with on Pearce's salary from the start of his new contract?

Hopefully this is all very cunning planning!

I always thought it was 10, but it may be 8, i'm not sure.
