In regards to deleting posts,i do it for good reason when I think it’s necessary as it’s a waste of time debating with someone like yourself..
I love it when someone has a different opinion, discussion and difference of opinion is great.

    Boring agendas, not so much.

Anysley hed his big rant about his 'jamming in' letter. IMO that simply wasn't an example of 'jamming in' based on how Anusley described it and shouldn't have been made an example of.

His description is that 'jamming in' is when (for example) a centre goes off their line to go in and cream his counterpart early so that he gets surprised and coughs up the ball. In Anusley's opinion this runs a higher risk of the tackle being high as it's a wild, 1-off run at a player. He showed examples and blah blah blah.

IMO Brown was high but in traffic. He wasn't doing a one-off incident of 'jamming in'. Bullshit call.
What these idiot officials are getting wrong with penalising any really hard hit these days is....they see the head rock back and immediately rule contact to the head.

The head still rocks back from any strong upper body check. Chest, shoulder etc.

If Brown had made direct contact with the head or jaw...the guy would still be snoring. Instead he was fit enough to throw a punch at Brown, which apparently is ok in this case.

        Atrocious calls.

        • Good win. Defence was great especially on our line with all those 6agains. Attack improving each week.
          Teddy easily MOM.
Special mention to Hutch. His kicking game was good and much better than we've had for a while. Good defence too. Great selection by Robbo.
Wong will be a star. Billy best game so far.
Only change I'd make is Turpin in for Sandon. He provides much better service. Sandon threw a few howlers tonight including the one to Rads. You're clutching at straws Lydon ffs.

Adding Smith's uninspiring wonk from dummy half, it may stand to reason that is why our attack is shaky.

Once it did hit keary, we took better shape immediately. Kezza bounced back for me tonight imo.

I saw his upper arm hit the lower jaw. His left foot was just leaving the ground on contact, so I would have ok with just a binning.

Klien tried to charge him with attempted murder.

                  "Leaving the line with intent"

uhhh yea, they're playing footy sir

Agree the ball to Rads wasn’t great but I don’t agree Turpin has better service than Sandon.

                    • Great game tonight by Billy, Hutch & Teddy as always. Toop is like fine wine, Suaalli ran hard, silky and brutal tries by Manu. Great evening beating the Manly

                      • Plenty wraps out there for x, y, z but i have no doubt Jared and Collins were best on field. They both played out the entire first half and most of the back 40. Stunning performances

Would it beat the top teams? No but we can only play the moment and tonight belonged to Easts.

Hated the decision on Brown. Just a terrific hard hit nothing illegal. A real worry when you hear the ref saying he left the line with intent. Wow thats what you want your players to do. These days any hard tackle is now penalised. Sad state.

Hutch was very good. Didn't miss a trick. My criticism of him is always just too slow in everything he does. But tonight he really made a conscious effort to move the feet quicker, hit a bit harder and play with some intensity. Well done Hutch.

Toups and Billy were v good too.
Agree on Hutch - I hate seeing his name on the team list as he slows the attack and puts to much pressure on his outside teammates in defence however I have to give credit where credit is due - Hutch was first grade level out there last night and was one of our best. Well done Hutch - happy for him to keep proving my opinion about him wrong. Hope he can go on a role now till the end of the year. His kicking was very good and he threatened the line on multiple occasions and created opportunity for teammates.

                            • Hutch was one of our best tonight, put egg on my face..

That 40/20 looked effortless and he even made some half breaks with ball in hand, good all round game.

                              Well done Hutch!

                              • Hutch playing in his natural position shows his worth. Never hated on Hutch. If he is to ever wear our jersey or be in our 17 it has to be as a starting half, not as a centre, utility or hooker. That is always my point. Played well. Sadly at the expense of Sandon's development but it turned out to be a good move as he was pivotal at getting us the 2pts. If he goes unsigned there would be worse halfbacks/five-eigths you could sign to partner a young half than Drew. Tigers, Saints, Canberra should all take a look.
