I thought teddy, rugby joe, manu, keary , Wong and hutch were good . I still think the club needs to move in a different direction re keary , just to show I'm not just saying it when he plays badly , just think we need a total reset .

Would it beat the top teams? No but we can only play the moment and tonight belonged to Easts.

Hated the decision on Brown. Just a terrific hard hit nothing illegal. A real worry when you hear the ref saying he left the line with intent. Wow thats what you want your players to do. These days any hard tackle is now penalised. Sad state.

Hutch was very good. Didn't miss a trick. My criticism of him is always just too slow in everything he does. But tonight he really made a conscious effort to move the feet quicker, hit a bit harder and play with some intensity. Well done Hutch.

Anysley hed his big rant about his 'jamming in' letter. IMO that simply wasn't an example of 'jamming in' based on how Anusley described it and shouldn't have been made an example of.

His description is that 'jamming in' is when (for example) a centre goes off their line to go in and cream his counterpart early so that he gets surprised and coughs up the ball. In Anusley's opinion this runs a higher risk of the tackle being high as it's a wild, 1-off run at a player. He showed examples and blah blah blah.

IMO Brown was high but in traffic. He wasn't doing a one-off incident of 'jamming in'. Bullshit call.

He probably should have sin binned Tupou earlier in the match too this is what happened against south’s last year and he let the game get out of control he is a terrible referee

Well thoughts
- does anyone remember any of the game other then the ref? Complete over officiating - ruined a game
- the Wong no try is right by rules but still should be a try, like Shep hard calls we have made it to black and white
- we would have won that by 50 with a good side - manly were horrible. Seriously DCE does f all for manly, only time they got close in 10 years was with turbo in 2021
- another last 10 to 20 minute fade-out reducing our good lead - I just want to sit back and relax in the last 10 min not be getting frustrated each week
- getting sent off for “coming out of the line with intent” ? I have heard it all now, game will be touch footy on 2024
- back line played well, suaali, manu and smith had best games for a while
- if we nail 4-5 cross field kicks a game we score most times
