Other codes can definately offer him more money.
It just comes down whether or not he wants to play in the superior code or not.
I think we should give him a cut off date to get his signature. If he's not coming we need to know so we can make other plans.

He doesn't want to play union, he wants to play league.

The whole time he's been talking with the Roosters (which would seem to be the past 6-12 mths), he could've been looking at a lot bigger contract $$'s in RU .... but would seem that he has been showing a desire for returning to league.
I guess this Japan offer is just that, another big contract offer from another RU club.

If he truely desires to return to RL, then he will do it
....remember, "he's his own man" ... Mundine told him so !

There is a reason so many clubs in two different codes want him.

No signature on the spotted line, no contract.

When it comes to SBW, even a signature on the spotted line is not necessarily a contract !

If he were definitely coming here he'd sign a contract.

Seems to me he's not definitely coming here at all, but still hawking himself around to all and sundry...including Japanese rugby.

He hasn't played League for what, 6 years?
He'll struggle IMO, and he's not worth the money.

Verbal contracts are not worth the paper they are written on!!
I'd rather see our kids supported.

Nor is his word his bond, we would do better leaving him off our books & looking after our young
players along with others who a loyal to us.
He has no loyalty a proven fact...

I think everyone want the guy to play for their team, and that because he is a very good (league/union) player, no matter how much some people hate his gut, he's in the position to control his career. I think it's time to move on and keep working with what we have right now. All the best for the guy for trying to look after his future, and lets just concentrate on putting on some more performance like the one they put on against the warriors a few weeks ago.

The Roosters should ask his management to show them these Japanese Rugby contracts.

I feel SBW has realised he enjoys League more than Union & is just trying to get as much money as he can from the Roosters, so his management are hawking him around Japanese Rugby so that the Roosters will have to pay top dollar.

The Roosters were already going to pay top dollar for the goose. Thats been one of the main probs. We have had to make room at the expense of others for this deserter who may not even come anyway. Yes, he likes league over yawnion but guess what... he likes dollars more!

Wasnt last night funny Mickey!!! I cant believe you made Mr Wong quit!!!

                                Only to a certain few.
