Then how are we supposed to win these 2 premierships if none of our young players are up to your standard? What if SBW gets injured again? It's a team sport. Souths didn't make the finals with Inglis, let alone win a grand final like they all thought they would in his first year. SBW does not a guarantee a grand final win.

What do you base this on?? SBW has not played league in years. Who's to say that he will adjust back to the level he was at before he left? Who's to say that he is mentally up to taking the amount of shite that will be dished on him if he comes back to League? Who's to say if he will be driven enough to achieve what we expect of him? Who's to say that we don't have players coming through the ranks who have the potential to be as damaging as SBW?

As far as I am concerned we are talking about a shiteload of cash for a whole bunch of what ifs.

I tend to think that he has learnt from his mistakes. Players like him are so rare that when you get a chance you just can't pass him up. I honestly feel that he can be our best player since Freddy.

Since when do you win a Premiership on the back of one player, not in the 57yrs I've been a Eastern Suburbs/Roosters
supporter.
Also with an attitude of I don't care if he signs for 4yrs & leaves after 2 as long as we win is not supporting our team
or our younger players, they are worth far more respect than they are getting.
