Cooper Cronk is Rooster # 1174 - Ridiculous to say he was never a Rooster and would have little emotional attachment to that period and or what he is undertaking now as Halves Consultant.

Cooper was a noted Junior Baseball player as well having played junior reps for QLD - 2nd base

Dale Copley would have been drafted by a MLB club but pulled out of the draft the day before it started - Dale was one of the youngest players to have competed the MLB Academy Program.

What could have been if they continued on with it - Certainly the hardest sport to make it to the top in (Major League) and the hardest sporting competition in world sport to win

" Baseball was, is and always will be to me the best game in the world" - Babe Ruth

For some reason it did feel like he was meant to be here though, he spoke passionately about the club, more than he needed to if he didn’t believe it, loved it when he said “this club has real heart”

I think his family had strong ties to bondi and worked in the area in different sporting codes.

I wasn’t aware of the recent history with Weedler and Robbo. There was a time when he gave good Roosters insight, but he has not been very reliable for a while.

There was a time when he and Tony Adams seemed to have direct sources within the club but they clearly rubbed someone up the wrong way as I can't remember the last time either broke news on our club that wasn't on the lower grades...

These days funnily enough Rothfield seems to have the best info on our clubs news.

I agree. It’s the complete opposite to what it was 10 years ago when Rothfield was the one constantly putting the boot into the club. Now he seems to be a big fan and gets all the good leads.

Rothfield was relentless when we had Brian Smith in charge. There must have been some history between those two. Also, the lengths they would go to just to get some dirt on our players was way over the top, particularly with Todd Carney

Ray Hadley was also relentless in his criticism of Brian Smith - Not sure why though

Yes and he is very anti-Roosters these days if you read his content despite having been quite friendly with the club in the past.

Hadley thinks he owns Parramatta, and kept some baggage on Smithy with him. Hard man to like, unlike his ex-missus who I met a couple of times, quite lovely.
