    ROOSTERS SQUAD v DOLPHINS

    Round 24 - Saturday 12th August
    7:35pm Allianz Stadium, Sydney

Time to make a statement. These pretenders ambushed us in Round 1, and I want pay back. We still looked clunky AF last week, and well below our best, but there have been glimpses. Not enough to get me excited, but enough to allow the tiniest glimmer of hope for us eternal optimists. Discipline is paramount. We've started OK in the last 3 games, but inevitably drop-off later inteh game. Set completions, penalties and set restarts MUST be controlled. The Roosters have made more tackles than any other NRL team in 2023. This costs us big-time. I believe fatigue is a massive contributor to our typically crappy second half displays.

Egan is still out, so Wong retains his spot, Napa added to the bench (first game since 2018) with Brown suspended.
As alluded to in the post-game presser, Hutch retains the #7 role with Sandon named at 14.

Ref is Todd Smith, with Klown in the bunker.

    GO EASTS !!

Wow, can’t wait to see the Napster back in the team, has he offered anything in reserves from what people have seen?

I’ve heard that he’s been pretty poor. Maybe el Zachem swaps with him late?

We are low on forwards at the moment so seeing Napa in the team is somewhat understandable. Hopefully having the chance to put the Roosters jersey on once again inspires him to put in a good performance

              Dylan Napa - A minimum contract for season 2024 perhaps ? - 2024 - JWH/Collins/Leniu then May and Whyte

Egan Butcher , Connor Watson and Paul Momirovski are listed on NRL Casualty as due back Round 24

Watson isn't even in full team training yet so that timeline is just rubbish.

Robbo again baffles me with his selections.

Napa has been average and we have two middles in May and Baker for our rotation.

Surely El zakhem deserves a go to see if he can step up to this level. We bought him across from Parra and has been ok in an average Roosters Cup teamHe plays second row so a better balance as well. So much more upside in picking him

                  Missed opportunity

It shows you how low our forward depth is right now with Napa in the 17. So many injuries especially in the second row and now Brown suspended.

Just on El Zakhem he won’t be with us next year, going to England to Castleford I think.

Why this endless delay with Walker? It seems like Robbo is just doing everything in his power to avoid selecting him. Robbo has lost my faith and trust in him over this matter.
