Contributing to our lopsided penaltly count against Manly were Butcher ...pushed a player down, didn't play the ball properly ...Radley stripped the ball...dumb play...not what's needed in games today.
Our players need to be spoken to harshly about doing dumb things on the field.

      Worth a watch.

At this stage I think the club are just protecting him and as mentioned in the video if he doesn’t play again this year and we can build up his knee through the off-season then he will be at lesser risk of an ACL in the future.
Thanks for that excellent video. That really helps me understand the situation much better and appreciate he’s being protected for his future and roosters future. I hope he does fully recover and it makes sense not to risk him. Thanks again for that video.

Basically Walker is an ACL waiting to happen by the sounds of it

Depending on the studies you read an athlete is 10-30% likely to re-tear their ACL if they’ve done it before.

So I assume that’s the increased risk they are talking about. No different to say Lindsay Collins or Victor Radley.

Touch wood of course none have to experience it again.

To be fair on Hutcho, he had a solid game on the weekend (one might say the best game of his career). Joey complimented his skills as a managing half... this is against none other than DCE.

IMO he's earned this start on form and it's a VERY minor tweak given that Sandon's on the bench anyway. Last week Hutcho played 80 and Sandon played 33 so go figure... do you name Hutcho on the bench instead just because lotsa fans think he's lacklustre (even after he has a really solid 80 minute outing). I dunno if that's useful.

Big Papi to the bench? Makes me wonder if this is why Lodge is seen as being disruptive. I mean WTF did he HAVE to rock up to training with a fark load of head noise about having no 2024 extension and then move over to Manly? He had a 2023 contract with us and (in form) woulda been farking handy for us to be able to use this week. Nup... Big Papi it is!

I have NFI where Big Papi is at. However last week he played 34 minutes in NSW cup for 91m (off 6 hitups), 14 tackles and 1 missed tackle. Whereas El-Zakhem played 80 and did 12 of 12 hitups, 20 tackles and 3 missed tackles in a 54-14 victory.

A game against Bromwich x 2/Nocholls/Kaufusi is always its own thing. My biggest fear is JWH and Rads getting suspended. Maybe Big Papi can take one for the team if they're playing like grubs? Big Papi loves a brawl and this may well be his calling...

Good to see Hutch in his natural position and great to have a kicker who can kick longer than 30 and higher than 20.

I'm curious to find out how they detected a grade 1 as it's quite rare in footy.

Baseless rumour but I sorta wonder whether he got dropped for saying 'oooow my knee huuurts!!! It doesn't feel stable!!!' to which a certain forward said 'OH STOP BEING A FARKING WUSS!!!! ROBBO, DROP THIS STUPID LITTLE GIRL... WE ALL PLAY THROUGH INJURIES IN 1ST GRADE SON!!! THIS ISN'T JIZZY'S LIMONCELLO BOCCE LEAGUE!!!'

Obviously I have no internal insights but I suspect we've dodged a bullet with Walker's ACL. It would be so farking tragic if we missed out on the 8 and Walker went down with a grade 3 ACL in the first 10 minutes of our do or die game.

Very surprised to see him there. Can only think its because Felise Kaufusi bashed us game 1. Napa is there to do a job on him.

Baker, Napa and May on the bench doesn't make sense when Robbo plays JWH and Collins both for nearly 60mins last week, a waste of bench.

Still no Egan? Resting him for the year?
with brown our we now have 7 with Watson, walker, Whyte, sitili and Gus
                          our injury update is hopeless
walker, Watson and Momo were all coming back around round 20
why don’t they just say sitili won’t be back this year
by the looks of the last one they won’t get many back to finish off the season

Has Egan Butcher suffered an injury at training? He missed last week due to HIA ?

Robinson is known to give players with HIA extra time off, seems to be a regular thing with him..

Makes the whole tackle by Reynolds even more questionable as I thought I read somewhere Egan didn’t have any history of prior concussions.
