Haas is the perfect replacement for JWH. I hope it happens. $1M is a bargain.
No. You need good front rowers no doubt. But I still stand by that I wouldn’t pay $1M for one. That’s crazy in my eyes.

Look at this year. I think our middles haven’t been too bad, we roll down field well enough (set metres are usually on par or better than the opposition) yet look where we are still. It’s our inability to score points which imo is up to the spine and halves in particular. That’s where I’d spend the big bucks. Just my opinion though..

Only problem with that is when he inevitably does his ACL in true Roosters nature, we lose 2 gun props aswell instead of 1.

Exactly. I’d rather a more balanced approach.

If we spend up in one spot and teams will just zero in and nullify them or if they get injured, which is a common occurrence for us unfortunately, we are screwed. Our depth is shite as it is, so now we want to spend $1M on a prop?

So you need good front rowers to win the comp now.

What was JWH on when we won B2B? Reports are $800K. So an extra $200K in times when the salary cap is much higher probably warrants the extra for what Haas has to offer. He is the best going around and can play 80 minutes. Haas, Collins, Spencer and one of our young guns wins us a comp. $1M is his market value as other teams are prepared to pay it. I hope he comes.

BTW those bringing up his Mum shows how low some people are.

He’s a top player & he would be a good get for the Chooks but I can’t work out why he’s going to market.
He says he wants to be in a team that can win the comp which the Broncos are definitely one of them plus they’re offering him good coin so I can’t work it out.
Like our good friend Tallis says your 1.1 million goes a lot further in Brisbane than your 1.3 in Sydney.
If he is to be led by SBW & leaves the Bronx then I hope SBW shows his loyalty to Nick.

Salary cap rose by 22% which makes $1m a tad over $800k in old money. JFH and Haas are definitely both worth $1m.

Like i was told 3-4 years ago, it’s not about the money because he’ll get around the same where ever he goes. He wants to live in Sydney near SBW & live a proper humble religious life. Also be setup after footy & this is where the Roosters might win him over with Politis’s connections

What about the dogs? SBW is linked to them now. Is he more loyal to the Roosters or dogs?

The dogs have said they have pulled out. They might know.

Yeah I think SBW now calls the dogs home. Him & Gould are a better chance of getting him I’d think..

I never said you didn’t. You need good players everywhere. But props don’t win you games. Spine players have far more influence in my opinion. If we get him for $1M it’s probably fair given the inflation of f the salary cap. I’d rather Moe or someone similar on around $500K personally.

Plus I’d nearly bet my left nut the Bronx will go all in on getting Sammy Walker if we nab Haas. Reynolds isn’t far off retiring and they will have huge funds. My preference would be to keep Walker over Haas. Who would you prefer?

Props give you the go forward so the spine can do their work.
If you think we can win games with Collins and Spencer then you will be blaming Robbo again in 2025.
Look what happens to us when JWH and Collins are off the field. All respect to our young guns but they are not ready for NRL and probably won't be in 2025 which leaves us exposed. Many thought that Baker and May were going to step up so nothing is guaranteed for anyone else coming through.

Many teams will go for Walker regardless of whether we get Haas or not. Even if Haas stays in Brisbane they will still go for Walker. A bit naïve to think not.
