There might not be anybody left in California come March 2024. People are leaving in droves.
1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

I just did a quick approximate guide on what the cost would be for a boys trip. I reckon return flights, 7 nights accom and $500 per person per day you could easily get it sorted for $6500 total cost. Not crazy money. Gambling is what would blow out the budget. I like a punt on the horses here but Casinos and pokies don't interest me. Plenty of cool day trips out into the desert from Vegas also. Great trip , trust me ( thats $500 Aus per day, only about $325 US)
The cheapest return flights to LAX right now for those dates is $1700 per person.

With $500/day that takes you to $5200 before you’ve spent a dollar on accomodation or car rental (or domestic flights from LA to Vegas).

I reckon it’s an $8-10k proposition these days if you are staying on the strip proper. Only way you are getting away with $6500 is if you stay in the shitty hotels down near the old strip or worse still off the strip completely.

$1380 to LAX, fiji air. Its then a cruisy drive to Vegas with a few guys sharing the driving Car rental is cheap as fark over there for a week split between 4. Believe me, I travel overseas yearly and have been to the US 5 times recently, only missing 2 years because of Covid. $6500 was staying at the Mirage which is perfectly fine, that was $1400 pp twin share....Luxor is perfectly fine and is 1k cheaper. $6500 is easily doable. If you're spending 10k for 1 person you are living the high life. Girls and bags are very cheap there...so they tell me....this was guessing the dates, I did last week of Feb when searching prices

At the time I didn’t even realise who he was. Just followed all the others who were high fiving him as the walked around the pool area followed by his entourage.

You thinking about making the trip?
                  Yeah, very tempted.

I'm blessed with a great Mrs (second time around). She gave me a leave pass a few years back when our little girl was 8 weeks old for a boys trip to Vegas and San Diego for the NFL. When i told her the Roosters were going she said you'd be mad not to go. I love the day trips out to Red Rock Canyon etc which are pretty much free when you have a car. Sit at a pokie and your drinks are free with a small tip. Im so tempted. Im doing 3 weeks around the South Island of NZ later in the year and Japan next year so I would need to do this on a budget. My eledst turns 18 next week....I will be $450 better off per fortnight in child support ( thats how i could justify this unplanned trip)

Will the game be shown on FTA?

Only have to pay for the electricity in that case.

In the Broncos press release they confirm that their opponent will be the Roosters.

February is off peak for Vegas as it’s still pretty cold then and the pools are usually shut. Prices go up in March for that reason.

is the Fiji air flight direct? Cheapest I saw on google flights today for direct was Delta at $1670

Not a great deal. It's a bit of a swing state, mostly Democratic. It's not far from Calif and there's many people leaving there as well due to the cost of living being much higher than the national average.

Congratulations to the boys. Wonder what weather conditions will be. Also I hope players like Brandon and Radley don’t do something stupid (white powder, push the ref) and that we just have a good game and come home refreshed hopefully after a win. Hope no players acquire gambling debts.

This will be as arse stupid as the MLB going to London. The NRL doesn't have a Lionel Messi to bring fans. Unless they get that rape-o shitbird Haynes out on furlough to spruik the game, nobody will give a crap.
