I have seen too many of these type of games go wrong to feel good about the players Newcastle are missing.
Oh look, 100% agree with you.

Whenever I see a betting market saying roosters $1.59, knights $2.40, I am almost certain there is an easy $1400 on offer for a wager of 1K.

Roosters and favouritism go together like oil and water.

I have been feeling the same way all week.

I can think of plenty of games over the years where we've played on a sunny Sunday on lost when we were expected to win.

      1. 1995 against Illawarra a week after we beat Manly at Brookvale in that memorable match where Gould asked his players to walk off the field.
      2. 2003 against Penrith after we thrashed Parra in the opening round as the defending premiers.
      3. Round two last year against Manly when they had a stack of players out.
      4. Round two this year against Penrith.

Feel free to add to the list.

We'll be right. Roosters are on the up. In racing parlance they have their hoof on the till. Ready to win. Great effort against the dragons obviously besides the horror ending. Knights are ordinary and missing key players. Its an easy $590!

Yeah and it's all based on our form against the Dragons, which... look after their 30-6 drumming by the Cowgirls I'm a little skeptical of. Did we play well or were the dragons rubbish.

We had lots of good offloads, a high completion rate and Pearce was hammering them with his newfound kicking game.

Were we good or were they just p!ss poor?

well my run through this week end is on the way to be perfect.

                      the drongos have lost

                      the hawks have won

                      now the roosters to win

Manly will be lucky to get one or two players in SOO, Watmough definitely and Glen Stewart a maybe, I think Lyons has made himself unavailable. As for Broncos, because of their wealth of youth they will only loose 3 players in SOO, Hannat, Thaiday and hodges, I don't think Petro or Parker will be considered this time round as Qld have a wealth of forwards.

Don't you think Cherry-Evans will be the bench utility? And i reckon Matt Gillett will get a bench spot, he's a pretty big loss imo
