Brett Papworth for me. He was supremely talented and I was hoping for great things.

Got ran over by the Rod Wishart steam train and then injuries were the end of him.

Apparently a young Hodgo was made to feel very unwelcome at Easts. He was left out of key cliques by the likes of Ricko and Freddy. A friend who used to be in the dressing room in those days was telling me about it over the weekend.

Find that hard to believe, after he came down for the 10 year renunion of the 2002 premiership.

Also, whoever said his time with us was crap is wrong. The back end of 2002 was sensational and was a catalyst for our form on the run home. His form in 2003 was phenominal before he did his knee. 2004 I'll grant you was very poor.

For me though the worst is Chris Anderson without a shadow of a doubbt. Apalling decision by the club....something everyone could see but those who make the decisions.

It surprised me too. Particularly since, like you said, he came down for the anniversary.

              Cam Cherry.

Given more time to lose weight, get fit, and hone his skills, he could've been a good player for us.

Can we go back further than ten years?

I reckon it's more fun talking about Brad Burke, Paul Mares, Paul Vautin, Bobby Goulding, Dale Shearer, Sandy Cambpell, Mick Delroy etc.

Dang there are some steamers in that lot. I guess we weren't called the Transit Lounge in those days for nothing.

                      Bobby Goulding was special.

He played Presidents Cup against Wests even though he was the incumbent test half!

From memory he did the runner without any warning.

Yep from memory the sun was too hot during the earlier game for the lad, caused heatstroke and he lost his marbles and thought he was a rello of Harold Holt.

How bought his buld, Carntey but without the muscle. A mini George Rose.

Speaking of builds, remember when Sandy Campbell first started at the Dogs? He was a rake.

When he came to the Chooks he looked like Schwarzenegger.

Reminds me of Steve OrangeJuicy Price.

Many of those Canberra and Brissy blokes from the early 90s were similar, overnight ripped musclemen. I will tell you an interesting story about that era, remind me on the weekend.
