Obviously Walker has at least twice the talent as Hutchison at halfback.
If they were both on the open market Walker would probably get 3 times what Hutchison would.
Also obviously Robinson loves Hutchison.. perhaps a bit to much.
In a must win game, it's a huge call.
That's good to hear about walker being long term.
He has done his apprenticeship now and the Rooster and Walker himself should reap the rewards .
I'd hate to see the roosters go in another direction now all the hard work has been done.

What worries me about Hutch playing half this week is all the praise he got after last game. Last time this happened it was round 5 against eels. Hutch plays centre and dominates scoring a try, gets called our new Aubo.

1 week later he marks up again Olam and gets absolutely Dominated.

Personally I would have bought Walker in. This is an absolute do or die game.

Its a bit risky playing Hutch at half 2 weeks in a row. We would be in danger of him cementing a place in the top 17 next year

Hutch is needed as a big half with a step and a big boot. And can find the tryline. And solid defender away from the centres where his size exposes his lateral movement.

As much as many here are cold on him, who can replace him in that role currently?

I think keeping Hutch is the right play for the moment.
We didn't run into it much last year during our end-of-season-run - primarily because our pack was decimating everyone and rolling up-field - but the general/long-range kicking game of Walker and Keary as a pairing is an absolutely gigantic weakness. It requires our pack to make 20m extra per set than the opposing team.

I don't think Hutch has ever played a bad game for us in the halves, so I've got no issue with him keeping his spot. Walker will be back soon enough. No need to rush it.

Also just as an interesint tidbit, I did the ladder predictor on the NRL website today and actually had us finishing 8th, above the Raiders and Bunnies. I wasn't even trying specifically to get us in

                We are ready
we put ourselves in this position
                it's pretty simple.
                it's pretty clear.

                well coach......Let's hope so.

I think Walker should be there this week,
and I think Brown should be lock
                and Radley 2nd row
                an Hutch in reserves.
                But that's just my opinion.
You also wanted Sandon in for Hutch last week and we all know how that worked out.

Don't think thats a real valid point though as Sandon had a good dig himself last week. May well have had a stormer at 7 too given the opportunity.

Sandon was very good last week in a new position,he really helped our attack when he came on at dummy half..

Squad Update: Round 25 vs Eels

Trent Robinson has updated his team to face the Parramatta Eels at CommBank Stadium tomorrow night.

Sam Walker, Corey Allan and Nathan Brown come out of the side this week.

Fetalaiga Pauga has been named as the 18th player in jersey no.21 and Dylan Napa is the remaining reserve. No changes have been made to the team listed 1-17.

A big step with no acceleration is counter-productive .
Walker will be looking for a release quick smart if Hutch can keep him out of his 7 jersey

I agree 100%, but I don’t think we’ll see Walker again this year in 1sts. Who knows for next year.

Probably unlikely I agree - if we keep winning Robbo probably won't move Hutch and I get that if he keeps playing like the last two weeks. He's a weak link though Hutcho but credit where it's due he's been good the last two weeks.

If we keep winning games with Hutch then we should stick to the same team...why change a winning formula

I've got a bet with some mates that if we makes the finals with Hutch in the drivers seat.....I'm getting a Hutch #7 tattoo
