We were row F in bay 34 this year, crap view being that low. Hopefully we get much higher in any gold members bay this year for better viewing.

It's a big time to renew as I know lots of people have been hit by inflation and interest rates. I'm not battling or anything but on a personal level, we've had to make a few judgment calls about recurring bills/subscriptions.

Our family's Easts memberships are a bit like my retro gaming / limoncello / coffee / overseas travel budget though. I feel as though there's some things in life that we can always find space for no matter what.

Doesn't matter how we go - I'm with our club for sure and will be joining up for 2024 as my one little tangible contribution to helping us get over the line.

2023's not yet over but I think it's fair to say we were all hoping to be higher up on the ladder (and coulda been with wins against St George, Manly, Faders and Cronulla - outright 4th place right now if we'd done that... showing again how important those shytty little 'SHOULDA FARKING BEATEN THOSE FLOGS' games can be).

Meh. Stuff happens and IMO 2023 is in many ways a sign of how strong our club is, and why it's worth backing. We coulda gone the same way as the Tigpies / Doggies / Dragons with this lucky but we haven't. The fans are still turning up. Players are still positive. Nobody's being sacked or walking out on us (aside from Matt Lodge - luck to you bro).

We're a club worth backing and as they say... we win more than our share of games... even when our [fair] share (2023 still counts as we've won more than we deserved to).
