  • Pilot Medical Update: Round 25

    https://www.roosters.com.au/news/202...date-round-25/

No mention of Toops, so presumably he's OK.

The Sydney Roosters NRL squad has been assessed by Club medical staff following their Round 25 clash with the Parramatta Eels.
James Tedesco was taken from the field in the 61st minute of the match for a head injury assessment (HIA) and was unable to return.
He has commenced early-phase rehabilitation in line with the Club’s return to play protocols and will meet with an independent doctor for further review this week.

There were no injury concerns for the remainder of players that featured in the match.
Jared Waerea-Hargreaves was a late withdrawal from Friday’s game with acute neck pain. The forward will undergo continual assessment with Club medical staff in the lead up to Round 26.
On Sunday, Jake Turpin was taken from the field for a HIA in the Bears’ NSW Cup match and was unable to return. He has also commenced early-phase rehabilitation in line with the Club’s return to play protocols.
Egan Butcher and Naufahu Whyte have resumed full team training after recovering from their respective injuries. Both forwards will be available for selection for the Roosters upcoming clash with the Tigers.

Sitili Tupouniua (neck), Paul Momirovski (shoulder) and Connor Watson (knee) are continuing their respective rehabilitations under the guidance of Club medical staff.

Interesting to see if either Whyte or Egan will get a run in the 17. Especially if Sam Walker returns. You'd think Baker would make way for E. Butcher but no room for Whyte if we carry the utility bench player.

Anybody know why Turpin's fallen outta favour? I thought that he went alright.

Have almost forgotten about Sitili and Watson. Will love having both back though!

Baker has been one of our better forwards. I’m inclined to leave him in.

Shame he just decided to pull his finger out after all these years.

I would drop Creighton, he offers absolutely nothing and replace him with Whyte.

Baker has been doing a good job.

Sandon definitely offers more than Turpin off the bench.

Is he leaving before the Tigers game?

I'm a big Baker fan and I didn't want him to go, but would rather see Whyte in the side given he's a long term Rooster (at this point). I'd take either over Crichton in the 17 to be fair.

                        Fair enough.

At this point in the season, I would pick our best 17 players and go from there, regardless of their contract status for next year.

I personally would not put Crichton or Hutch in our best 17 assuming Sam Walker was fit and playing 7.

I cannot believe this is being discussed (re Crichton), but I have to agree. What a shadow of the player he used to be…….
