I'd take Tolman in a heartbeat. We may have a lot of forwards with lots of potential, but what we don't have is consistency. For a young prop, he now has 82 games under his belt (more than all but MAubs in our pack) & his numbers are very good. He averages 117.5m & 29.3 tackles (1.1 missed) per game this year.
He also plays good minutes. I'd love us to have one more good quality prop, and perhaps then look at playing JWH in the back row, and let him play a little wider, at least in attack.

I have found this forum a lot more tolerable by using the ignore function for about 4 posters that post nothing but negative crap.
I suppose when I still see their crap posted by other penners quoting them, at least I feel I have made the right decision.

8. Tolman
10. Kennedy
11. Tasi
12. Aubusson
13. Hargreaves
14. Masoe/Evans/FPN
15. Masoe/Evans/FPN
16. Cordner
That's almost the perfect balance imo.

Let's say our side has 600k spare in the cap, getting Tolman and possible an outside back/hooker along with Maloney would be money well spent rather the getting SBW.
Positives like previously posted is having JWH running wider would give our side an even more formidable forward pack.
Either way I personally wouldn't be disappointed if he came or didn't.
I think Anthony Mitchell has what it takes filling the utility role for our club on the bench ala Nathan Wood ha - Bad example. You get my drift though.

If we were to get tolman, we would have to pay somewhere around 275-300K. I don't think we need him.
Many have suggested we put him at lock, but we already have Bosden , Arona and FPN, who can do that job.Plus I don't think he is that much experienced than our current crop(like JWH). In 2011 the bulldogs purchased him just because they were making purchases for the hell of it, thinking it would fix their club. They paid overs and are now regretting it.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he's not a good player, but I don't think he's the player we need. He should go to the tigers. They need better front rowers.
If we are to purchase front rowers, mainly for depth, I'd prefer front rowers who have experience but are on the fringes of first grade. Jamain Lowe, Josh Miller, etc. Would cost us no more than 100K.Last edited by Rooster2013; 05-02-2012, 09:01 PM.
