Saw the following post on Bumbook so thought I'd make a thread incase somebody knows the big man (noting he's already achieved my life goal of holding the giggity giggity flag with Wayno):
Anastasia soft take on locking up little criminal shits up here in Qld strikes again (the prick with the cleaver should of been in lockup for a B&E i heard) ....get well soon Johnny
What is wrong with ' some ' people in our society. Way too much violence.
The problem is drugs, immigration and a weak judicial system. Most violent crimes committed by Aussie houso junkies or immigrants from third world. Go the roosters!

Its a good question. Starting with our young people, I think theres been a developing lack of respect for institutions and authority for a while.
Fed by the beast that is social media, and the desensitisation of violence from violent video games. Kids watch clips of police bring disrespected all the time.
Our education system over-coaches individual entitlement and a radar that is super sensitive to looking for offence, and being offended.
At nearly 60, I (like many of us) grew up in different times. You respected the cops, your teachers, and usually had a decent role model or two in your community. You feared doing the wrong thing.
Kids still know the difference between right and wrong, and make choices. Including whether to mess with the demon drugs. Why isn't our education system hammering those points more?
But if basic societal values of decency aren't the main game in town, the abovementioned influences can lead them down the wrong path quickly.

Now Recky maybe be a bit more sensitive...what if they were misgendered or someone used the wrong pronoun?

Having moved up from Sydney to the GC last year, I’ve noticed a significant difference in the behaviour of 15-25’s up here and from what I’ve learned, Recky is absolutely right with Anastasia’s relaxation of punishment for young offenders. Youth crime is rife in Qld.
