        Get well soon Johnny.

So many shit human beings in the world. I'm so glad my 3 daughters have all grown up to be genuinely decent people.

I've been trying to explain the crime situation on the Gold Coast to my wife. Sure you have your regular criminals and crackheads but the teens are the ones to worry about. I cringe to write that as it sounds like the classic way older generations criticism younger generations. It seems many youths know here know there will be little to no repercussions if they are caught committing a crime. It's also disturbing how many of the youth related crime involves extreme violence.

Not just limited to the Gold Coast, I see a lot of it in the Sydney CBD on a daily basis.

You’re always going to have kids who are little shits and that’s just part and parcel of growing up but you’re right about the kids who know there are no/very minimal repercussions to their actions. Sadly I’ve heard plenty of stories not too dissimilar to Johnny’s involving kids as young as 8 years old.

exactly, the sociopathic f**ks know full well there will be very little , if any, legal repurcussion's for their evil behaviour's ....my missus wanted to make a weekend of it at the titans game , but there was no way I was going out to dinner/casino on the GC just in case , we just got the train back to brissy and strolled causally through Queen st mall to casa del reck

I’m sorry to hear of this incident and the trouble with crime on the Gold Coast. I’m a regular visitor there and I really like it. I wish Johnny well and hope the rest of you from there stay safe.

I’m either oblivious to it or very lucky.

spent two weeks on three different occasions on the goldcoast in the past 2-3 years, coolangatta has always been great, Broadbeach area has also been really good, spent a night at the casino watching footy and having a dabble on the tables with the wife, and although I saw no trouble, I found the casino pretty trashy.

surfers itself was fun, seeing many different personalities, but I could see how one could be on alert when not too many people around, but that goes for most cities at different times of the day.

just came back to canberra from 4 days in Sydney, it was the first time we walked through Haymarket, chinatown with my wife, because she always had the feeling that it was unsafe, she loved the buzz around little Tokyo, and was surprised at how many people and businesses were buzzing throughout chinatown on a Monday night-she really enjoyed it.

we walked back from the capitol theatre on Sunday night to Hyde park where we we’re staying, and again, while people are around, it felt safe.

we stay in Coogee most of the time we go to Sydney, catch public transport and wander around all the time, never had an issue.

Going to places for leisure, is different to living somewhere everyday, but most places I have been too, I’ve been lucky enough to not find myself in,
                      or see trouble.

Breeding and "parenting" by people who should not even be allowed to have children x gutless police x weak as piss governments x perpetrators who are allowed to say "I'll play the mental health/racist discrimination card"

Best wishes for a speedy recovery Johnny. You shouldn't have to go through this.
