Had Brett Finch not been Robert Finch's son, do you think he would have survived this long in the NRL or got anywhere near an first grade jersey?

Every player has a way of surviving the pressure of NRL selection week in, week out:

Some players do it with their talent, others because their nice blokes. Unfortunately at our club we have seen too much of the later.

Yeah but fitzy was more of a caretaker captain than a full time captain. He was also on the edge of retirement and at the time many rooster fans were pretty pissed we had got rid of him, unlike this year's capatin dismissal.

My favorite that year was O'meley, when we payed him a salary to go on a trip to the UK midway through the season for house hunting when he was supposedly injured. We sure can pick them.

Lol, not sure how we got into this topic, but it is interesting.

I think Fitzy`s departure is very similar to Anasta`s.
Both wanted to play on with a new contract, both were left hanging,so went and found contracts elsewhere. Both have been our club captains.Sean Garlick was another captain we let go of,but that was on marital grounds...

Shrek was actually allowed to go house hunting in England the very same week he had a changeroom altercation with his coach...

Yeah the sad thing about freddy's downfall is that by the end he had created a few stinks.

I remember Bwaiff also reportedly had an argument with Freddy once.

That's not "a bit of interesting trivia", it is a very stupid question though! By the way, which one are you, the Mad Honkers guy, Jason08, crappyRob or one of the other idiots who continually post drivel & ridiculous threads??

Actually unlike many on this forum , I only log on under this nick.

I try to fill up my time at work by posting some interesting/funny stats.

Sometimes they're taken out of context by more serious/mature fans like yourself, filled with cynicism.

There's no need to get upset, life's too short, cheer up, have a winfield!

and in the end aren't we all fans who want change??????????

No I'm not MRHK, I swear on it.

What's wrong with you , I used to love big arty beetson when I was a kid, not so much as a coach but heaps as a player.

                    I feel let down.

Life's full of disappointment, as a Rooster's fan you should be well aware of that! That's what makes the good times so sweet!

We could come up the Finchy Relativity Theory of passing balls in to the grandstand

The number of players Finch has on the overlap multiplied by how far out from the try line they are, carried over by how many points we are behind will determine how far up in to the stands Finch will pass the ball.

                        Something like that anyway.

Ahh finchy. I almost miss him. Someone you could focus all your anger and frustration with life on and feel a lttle better. Everyone's favourite whipping boy.

I will never forget one day at the SFS him taking the ball from a scrum win, deep in attack, first tackle, little bucky ducking and weaving all the way across field from one sideline to the other, dummying here, feinting there, dummying again, then passing across the sideline to absolutely no one. It was a beautiful thing. Summed up his whole career.
