You then can't say the dropping to reserves was beneficial as he played maybe 3 games all up in the 14 weeks he was out of 1st grade due to injury.

Maybe all he needed from Robbo was extra video homework instead of being dropped.

Had Walker not been dropped and did the extra video work whilst still learning his craft in First grade we would possibly be competing for the Top 4,such a shame!

Had to have a look at the Rabbitohs forum to see what they're saying. The consensus there seems to be that they need to sack their coach, halfback, hooker, most of their forwards and maybe their fullback.

On the plus side, there was some optimism about signing a 31 year old centre from Canberra on a four year contract.

Apparently Cody Walker and Demetriou had a heated argument over the Jack Wighton signing.

Walker wanted to know why Souffs signed Wighton yet couldn't afford to give his good mate and club legend Adam Reynolds a 3 year deal.

I heard SBW speak on in it after the game as well, sometimes it’s just the space and a little bit of adversity that gives you that time to re-asses and review you frame.

I’m not saying dropping him was beneficial because to be honest I’m not interested in having that argument right now, I’m just saying he looked a much more complete player tonight and showed good organisational skills. Those statements were echoed by Teddy, SBW & Robinson who are all obviously close enough to have some insight we don’t.

As I said I would be curious to hear from Walker himself, without evidence I’m not going to come any assumptions.

Yes and had the young Latrell Mitchell not been sent to reserve grade for a couple of weeks in 2018, we would have won the comp that year.

What story am I spinning, I never said dropping him was the right call and I always said I wouldn’t have. I just said I would like to hear from Sam as to what he worked on during that period as I’m not close minded on the topic and open to change my opinion if the facts have changed.

I think a fair analysis out of last nights game is that he looked a more complete player, would you disagree?

Remove your emotion from it and asses the situation fairly, he was brilliant last night and has made some tweaks to his game since we last saw him earlier in the year.

True, I can recall a number of times when it didn’t happen. But I was mainly thinking about his dumb short side plays when they were not on, and that defensive lapse which allowed Murray to stroll over (his passing game could be a lot better also).

However, he came up with some great dummy half runs and big defensive plays. Some of his efforts in the second half when souffs were putting our line under pressure were tremendous. You can tell he really tries and plays with passion, he just has times where he loses concentration.

Yeh First 20 minutes for Brandon Smith was not good. Forward pass, cut out ball to winger with no space and then the missed tackle on Murray but he was very good especially in defence from that point onwards. Some of his physicality in defence on our goal line was exceptional.

Problem with his running game is he jus hasn’t played enough with the likes of Teddy, Keary & Smith. They just need to work out what his non verbal body language sign is for I’m about to run here so they can follow in support and that will just come with more time on the field together.
