There's a reason why there are so many world class fullbacks and wingers under the age of 23 and not one halfback.

walsh is a freak but sammy does okay. had a great first year 2021 and could easily have led us to a premiership last year if we hadn't been decimated by injuries and this season has been disrupted by a knee injury but this season isn't finished yet and he looks likely

As a 5/8 who had no organising duties and just had to create, yeh he would do well but we’re talking about halfback play here.

I'm a big Sam supporter and think he's great but if he's going to become the future of Australia and QLD representative footy then you'd be expecting him to have a massive breakout year either this year or next if he's going to follow in the foot steps of the players currently in those spots.
