Newtown lose 26-22. Grandstand finish after a Kheirallah set up Dumbrell try. Let in way too many soft tries today. Mitchell and Mortimer were both pretty poor. Isaac Liu was their best forward. Kane Evans did not play but will probably play 20s.

Are you involved in junior footy?
I see he was a bulldogs junior, and played for the Sharks Toyota cup in 2010

What's stopping Kheirallah from sitting on the first grade bench? Always seems to put in a pretty solid effort and get things done but I've only ever seen him play once during a trial.
All I noticed during that game (can't even remember who it was against... 2010 at the SFS... Tigers or Bunnies I think) was he had some decent length in his kicks.

Neither Mitchell nor Mortimer IMO will ever play 100 Fg games.
However both are superior to Anasta and Friend and at the moment they've all we've got.
I think Friend will improve though I doubt he will ever be the player I once thought he would be. I dreamed we would have an all Qld front row of Friend tasi Kennedy.
I also have that same erky thought in the back of my mind that I had when Carney was at our club. I know he has apparently taken a turn in his life for the better but I still have the same feeling that he may end up screwing our club again.

I honestly don't rate Kheirallah as a playermaker. I thought of him highly in the 20s as a winger. I think he scored a bulk of trys on the wing. NSW cup can be very deceiving as the standard is very low. That's why many are calling for the old reserve grade comp. I thought even Blake Lazarus from last year put in better performances than Kheirallah.
