  • Injury Update

The Sydney Roosters NRL squad has been assessed by Club medical staff following their Round 27 clash with the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

Nat Butcher has been cleared of a serious groin injury after he was taken from the field in the 62nd minute of Friday’s match. He will resume full team training this week.

There were no injury concerns for the remainder of players that featured in the match.

Joseph Manu has resumed full team training after recovering from a Grade 1 hamstring strain sustained in Round 26.

Paul Momirovski has progressed to full-contact training as he nears the final stages of rehabilitation for his shoulder, while Sitili Tupouniua has recommenced running drills.

Connor Watson is continuing his knee rehabilitation under the guidance of Club medical staff.

    No news on Toups FFS.

We need him if we get through this week.

Don't get your hopes up, my reading of Robbo's remarks about Toops is that we are unlikely to see Toops again this year.

I wouldn't be surprised if he gets named this week though, just to keep Fitzy guessing and stop them planning to bomb Pauga's wing.

Pretty sure he's out for the season, as are the others bar Manu?

Still nice to see that Paul and Sitili are almost ready. I'm never gonna complain about having a little bit kore depth.

If we can field the same team which beat Souths we can beat Cronulla.
Manu ofcourse would be an immediate in, but if he's not right Allen did well.
Toops the same, but we could get bye with Pauga, he is very good.
If Nat's not right I guess Whyte would get a chance, which is still ok.
As long as we have Teddy, Keary, Sammy, Radley and Smith firing the others have simple jobs.

Connor Watson in on track to return in round 14, 2026. Seems like he's back in full training for ages.

Apparently the Sharks Connor Tracey who copped a hamstring injury in yesterdays game is at long odds to play this week..

He has been really good for them and has replaced the injured Will Kennedy really well..

                They will definetly miss him!
