Hard to believe we not only made the finals, but actually finished 7th. Now the real serious footy begins. No second chances for us, every game is do or die, just like teh last 5 weeks - so we should be used to the pressure of these games.

The Sharks have been hot & cold throughout the season, but on their day are formidable opponents.

I'm confident that our D can frustrate them, and their game will eventually break down.

Manu returns as expected, the remainder of the side is as per last week.

No Klein, but we get Gerry.

Great we got Sutton with Atkins in the bunker. That’s a minus 10 point starting position.

Roosters have won 63 lost 35 and 2 draws
I think our recent record at endeavour field is pretty good as well.

Great to see some consistency in the team.

Shame Toops can't recover in time. Fingers crossed Manu is good to go.

Thats a good point. It shows how highly regarded he must be with the coaching staff. Esp considering our depth in that area.

                  • The Roosters have won seven of their past eight games against the Sharks.

                    $1.90 Easts
                    $1.90 Sharks

Current market with TAB, bookies can't split em. Be interesting to see where the late money goes. Personally I think we should be favourites. The "smart" money tended for Souths last time....we saw how that ended up.

I love Sitili as a player and think he offers us something that others we have can't in that position. In saying that when he plays 80min his defense seems to drop off at times. The development of Wong will allow Sitili to possibly play 40min or so off the bench and be a weapon for us. He proved this year he is quite effective in the middle also

I see the Roosters as fair favourites in this match. Sharks have been average. Roosters 13+ for mine (if the refs run a fair match).

                            It’s game on.
Dont use the officials as an excuse, if we play to our potential we can win.

Late Mail: Star centre Joey Manu is tracking well to return from a hamstring injury, but still needs to get through Friday’s training session, according to Roosters coach Trent Robinson. “Well he couldn’t play last week so he is better than last week,” Robinson said. “He tried to train last week, but he couldn’t get there. This week he has had one good session already and he needs to nail the final session today and move a bit faster and test that today and then get ready for tomorrow.”

I think we have way the better roster on paper and going by that should win easily but in finals there are no guarantees and so I would be on high alert for an ambush by Fitzy who knows our guys and style of play like the back of his hand. I don’t believe the sharks can go any further than beating us but if we win we can give other teams a run for their money. On the day I believe the sharks will be too good as they have a great defense when they are firing so we will find scoring very difficult. Finishing 7th we can be proud but it could have been 4th if not for some coaching blunders.
