Surely not. They have so many players its not funny.

I didn't expect us to keep him given there is no news on a re-signing and we haven't seen him in the first grade set-up for a few months. I thought he did really well for us when called upon and is definitely a first grade hooker.

I think we will be ok. We have Sandon and Watson as good backup for Smith. Plus Tyler who will be in the squad next season who’s meant to be a good prospect.

Turpin put in some good performances for us, but he was never going to be a starting hooker here .

A very solid back up, but you cannot keep them all! Good luck Turps

The Dogs are going nowhere near the top 8 whilst ever they keep buying all their players.

We've made the decision to go with Tyler Moriarty so I'm not surprised Turpin is now surplus to requirements. He was only ever signed on a one year contract anyway so it was probably meant to be a stop gap measure as back-up for Smith and until Moriarty was a bit further along in his development.

Any info/insight on Moriarty? What should we expect from him?

Big call to release Turps imo with no proven hooker backup but if the kid has something about him it could play out.

I think it is clear that Sandon is our 14 going forward and a good backup if our 6 or 7 goes down.
Watto was always ahead of Turps until his injury. So Turps was always at best 3rd in line for next year. Now throw in Moriarty.
But having said that he played extremely well for us when he covered for Brandon. Probably provided the best service out of all of them and defended well.
He is a good pickup for the Dogs but still only a depth player.
                    I wish him well.

Gus must have a dart board in his office , he is throwing all these darts hoping for success . Success at the bulldogs will be a case of good luck not good management. Recipe for failure if you ask me .

We have promoted TYLER MORIARTY into the top 30 next year and he will be the backup for Smith,

As soon as Sandon started playing 14 Turpin was always going to be let go regardless of Moriarty's inclusion to the top 30.

Tyler came through the Central Coast Roosters pathways to the Sydney Roosters the same time as Sandon Smith and Ethan King.

The first time I saw him play was for the Central Coast Roosters in the Regional Junior Rep Comps. - Andrew Johns and Laurie Daley Cups - Player of the Comp in Laurie Daley Cup in 2021.

Central Coast Junior Rep player of the year in 2021, with Sandon Smith the Roosters Junior Rep player of the year in 2021.

A dummy half who can read a game / run and kick and good D - Also a pretty handy goal kicker

                            NSW Under 19 rep

I look forward to the day the Roosters play the Cowboys and Moriarty. Watson and Holmes all play

Owen Flaherty Fullback in Jersey Flegg is another one from the Central Coast the club has raps on

I'm all good with Hutch and Turpin moving on. Our standards need to be high!
