How come Billy Smith took the kick for goal because wasn’t Walker available or is he carrying an injury?

Robbo said post match that keary was meant to take it but keary didn’t realise Sammy couldn’t use his ankle properly, and went back to kick off position.
Billy was hanging round and just volunteered

Walker has a dicky Knee.

I assume players who can kick would practice their kicking in case they were needed at any time in a match.

Billy Smith is a better than average goal kicker.

Geez. I was almost having a heart attack when the commentator said it was his first goal kick in the NRL! As soon as I saw Smith I thought ‘what the hells he doing there kicking the most important kick of the game”. But he fluked it anyway!

That tackle by Sammy Walker around the legs on Talakai with Wong over the top in the last few minutes when the Sharks were attacking epitomises what our Club is all about..

That was a try for all money,yet these 2 youngsters had other ideas..

We've had some gutsy wins in recent times but it will be hard to beat this one.

Even with Teddy in the sin bin we went after them. They never gave up, That tells me they are still playing for the coach.

This game was one of the best efforts and wins I have ever seen from a Roosters team.
Truly fantastic.
