Angus was awesome last week against Souffs, he's been awesome in patches for us in the past 3-4 seasons. He was awesome in the RLWC in the off-season aswell. That's the issue. It's in patches. Some weeks he looks like he doesn't want to be there and other weeks he's a weapon. I do think his mental health revelations have come a ways to explaining that because it must just be his attitude. Nobody doubts he is a top class athlete and has all the talent in the world, but it doesn't happen often enough to justify how much he earns and can't be considered "elite".

It's not a case of being in form/out of form either, there are games where wants to run through a brick wall and other games where he doesn't want to get involved. I think it's best he moves on and has a crack at Union, could really work for him personally.

He is doing us a favour by leaving. Selfless decision of a loyal clubman who knows he has been useless and not living upto his pay packet. I commend him

And that would be fine. Maybe mediocrity is acceptable in your life. It’s certainly not in mine. That’s probably the difference between people who are successful and people like you who obviously aren’t.
He's played very well the last few games - I hope he continues his form.

as they farkin should have been - after a wonderful semi final win, in the post match press conference, some stupid reporter wants to ask about a player and if they're going to another code next season??? Tells you a lot about why the current day news media as a whole are going down the gurgler. No-one will pay to read or watch superficial nonsense like that. The people who that sort of shit appeals to, don't pay for it. Spend some time, do some proper analysis on a game. Write in a stylish way where you invoke some feeling with your words. They are a disgrace. Andrew Webster the only exception.

A very disrupted year for Gus. No pre-season, then missed a few weeks at the beginning, then got injured. He has started to get back to his best the last few weeks. We have him for next year and probably at less than what many are quoting. Remember there were massive delays with his last contract so I think he signed for less. I hope he stays and has a full pre-season and see how he goes next year. He can always leave in 2025. There isn't really anyone available of his quality when he's at his best.
