You specifically suggested the club should have misreported concussion symptoms and I said there is no way they are going to do that not sure what is confusing about that.
Obviously if he isn’t fit to play the Club would stand him down,we all get that!

Only our club would rule out its own player with a Cat 3. Now its come to bite us. FMD amateur hour. Could have just ruled him out with an ankle injury. Unbelievable.Exonerate the West Memphis Three - www.wm3.org

The disappointing thing about Wade Graham is that it was missed by everyone Klein? In the bunker as well. Certainly didn’t notice Sutton at the start of the next half saying Wade, Wade apologies here but that tackle where you took Bondi Joe out of the game is on report. Terribly sorry. We spent the whole of half time arguing your case but didn’t succeed. Further proof of the absolute bias that exists in the game. Anyone else other than a Rooster would have stayed down.

Probably been mentioned but despite the NRL being royally shyte about sharing its rules (do a web search... 2019 is the latest refs manual that'll pop-up and for the 2023 concussion rules all I could fine is this, which makes no mention of category 2/3, though the media seem to be all over them https://www.nrl.com/news/2023/03/15/...ury-protocols/).
My understanding is that...
- There's a mandatory 11 day stand down for all head injuries.
- "In exceptional circumstances, Clubs will have the ability to apply for exemption to the 11-day stand-down period, through a review by an independent neurological expert appointed by the NRL"
- When applying, one of the conditions is that "The player has no previously diagnosed concussions within the previous three months".
Pretty sure this means he can't line-up against the Storm as he can't apply for an exemption from the mandatory 11 day stand down.

If he is ruled out it sux but players welfare must come first.
I don't think any club would risk it these days especially with the way lawyers try and get everyone to sue for everything possible.
Too many players from the 70s-90s are starting to show signs of these head knocks when it was expected you to be a man and play on.
Naming a player and allowing them to play the next week if they shouldn't because of cheating the protocols is a dangerous path to go down.
It will make our job harder not having him play but health is more important.
Pretty sure we can still beat the storm.Last edited by Kentucky_Fried_Rooster; 09-10-2023, 02:36 PM.

As now due to this rubbish NRL policy we lose a gun back!
I am sure that’s something the Rabbits would do
Other sports have similar policies and rightfully so to protect the health and wellbeing of players.
Read up on the NFL studies on repeated concussions and the class action lawsuit taken by former NFL players, some of whom were deceased as a result of CTE
Researchers at the Boston University CTE Center recently announced that they have now diagnosed CTE in the brains of 345 of 376 (91.7%) of NFL players studied. Arrington was among them.

What you're saying is for a medical professional to basically lie, which could well have serious implications down the track, such as suspension or cancellation of their medical registration.
