Mini... TBH looks better than Boyd out there. Was Boyd just good because the Dragons were?
That play the ball on his own ten where he took about 10 seconds to play it pretty much sums Boyd up. prima donna

The highlight of the day was me calling Mason a cat from the front row Then for the next 5 minutes my three yearold was calling all the players cats I really have to watch what I say

Pretty strange game. I thought we were dreadful in the first half but from minutes 50 to 80 we were great. Mini & Pearce were excellent which they have been pretty much all season, Tagive and Leulia got more involved, forwards were good and, say what you will about Friend and Anasta but I thought they were both quite good today. Overall, I think we're on the improve but the next couple of rounds are going to be tough.

I did laugh at Neville Costigan coming off from Hooker after 25 minutes. Why on earth did they pick a player with one of the worst pair of hands in their team to play Hooker?

How good was the short kick off to start the match, I also liked the way we rolled the ball in goal and got repeat sets instead of that non stop bomb.

Sorry Jaice , or Jacey but the best thing about Anasta was that he provided us with comedy relief during the game.

Watch the replay of this game, especially in the first 20 minutes where for some reason we kept passing to him and you realise that every time he got the ball he did this strange Pirouette or half Pirouette, which no one in the crowd could understand.

All the defenders would do was stand still and he would not attract any defenders. He is well passed it and I never think he was at "it" when at our club. 5 hitups for 29m , with 0 try assists , for a 5/8 should tell you all you need to know.

Agree with your other points though, mini and Pearce were awesome. Mini had a flash back to his early days with that pass to Perrett for his try.

The short kickoff from the start was like a smart ass comeback from week... Loved it and it really set the tone of the match that we were on. Yes we struggled to score in the first half yet we kept at it and scored some great tries. Were not a bad side

I don't think there will be any more calls for the Pussycat Handbag to miss Origin now..

One ball got injured the other night anyway..

That tackle by Tagive was a gem I thought.

Cant believe how few posts there are in this thread!

Just got home after going to the game and having a bit of dinner afterwards, thought we played brilliantly right across the park.

Pearce really stamping his authority the last few weeks, and Anasta actually looked alive out there today. Best forwards were JWH, Mossy and Taka. Special mention to Mini as well who was immense at the back and clearly chasing that blues No.1 jersey hard.

Friend also played well. Didn't give away any penalties and actually showed a bit of nous in attack for a change. That should be his minimum standard every week. Unfortunately looks like he'll get a week or 2 on the sidelines with a high tackle charge so won't get a chance to back it up next week.

Only issue I had with today is that we should have had the game iced by half time. Earned ourselves a stack of field position and completely dominated the game from start to finish but only really pulled away in the final 10 mins.

All good signs for next week, but a really big month of challenges ahead

Thats because we played well & won.

If the score had of been the other way around no doubt this place would of gone into its usual meltdown.

Seriously though, there are definitely signs of major improvement with this team, but as you said the next month will be a real challenge. Hopefully the boys will be up to it.

Congrats to the boys on the win, great to see Mini, Pearce, JWH playing so well. I think we have alot to look forward to. We have some hard games in the next few weeks, with the win, this will give them alot of confidence.
