we're the quiet assassins of this year's comp. we've won six on the trot and apart from the tiges we finished the season of every other team we beat. if we'd lost any of those games our season would have been finished.
we'll be missing a few this week but we're as good a chance to win as we were to make the finals 6 weeks ago. winning becomes a habit

I don’t think Paulo will be playing. Robbo does not trust him. Wing or Crichton more likely in the centre or hutch. Billy Smith will be the other winger I think.

Fingers crossed the coach does not put forwards in the centres - to slow and awkward for 80 minutes - Munster would love that.

No - Manu, Suaalii, Toops, JWH, Toupanoua, Watson makes it very hard.....but Teddy, Keary, Walker & B.Smith are still there along with Collins & Rads which still gives me optimism.

What I would give to have had JWH & Toops back into the team next week.

Nowhere near as much as us. They are missing their winger. I don't count Pap as they haven't had him all yr. I heard Olam is back. It's gonna be tough. It's a bonus anyway as I never expected to make finals, and every win is 1 less game suspension next yr for JWH.

Apart from all that has been said here, the gloomiest prospect is a repeat of the walloping they gave us a few weeks back. The side has improved enormously but the casualty list changes all that.

Yeah I just hope the Roosters can go with them & make a game of it.
Melbourne now & the Chooks cant win the comp purely because the Bronx & Penrith are at full throttle us & Melbourne arent.

He must be injured or mentally jaded atm because his impact compared to the past was just about nil. My worry is the No. 7, Hughes, who tried hard against the Broncs and who always has a good game against the RWB. Was he ever in our junior system Salvo?

With Manu gone again, who is our fringe strike player apart from Smiff? I'm calling in Hutch. Seriously hard to see a win here being in Melbourne and all but the Chooks are, at last, a team so that may count for something.
Not sure if this has been answered but yes Jahrome Hughes was in our system at one stage

Gee whiz when was the last time we had a fit and firing team come finals? I know most players are carrying some sort of niggle this time of year we just happen to have more so important to have quality depth cover, if Rugby Joe is ruled out our backline may lack that continuity especially when it comes to execution Momo hasn’t played all year the Souffs reject won’t see another minute so where does that leave us?
What if Hutch moves into Wongs position, Wong moves into centre (tough one he hasn’t defended in that position very long) farout what a headache Allen in for Manu what other options do we have?

100% agree with this. Play any forward in the centres and we get wiped. Munster and Hughes will have a field day ala Handbrake Hutch.

Allan to replace Manu and hopefully Toops is back. Else it will be Paulo on the wing.

Yeah they looked threatening whenever they went that way. Not the kids' fault, he's just not a centre.

If you drill down it's been some effort considering the games the possible best 17 players missed during the year and the indifferent form of a host of players across the season.

You need your best possible 17 playing the bulk of the season with others playing a handful of games here and there across the season

Big Jack Gibson would never pick a replacement player in back to back games for instance - Coach Robinson had no choice in picking squad players outside the best possible 17 for blocks of games

JWH/Sitili/Watson/Toops/Momirovski all unavailable vs Sharks adds to the number of games a possible best 17 have missed and now add Manu and Suaalii to the list for the next finals game vs Storm

                          That's 7 players unavailable now

Take the equivalent 5 or 7 players out of the Panthers/Broncos/Storm/Warriors/Knights/Raiders teams and how would they go including the equivalent players the Roosters had unavailable for periods during the season.

Some on here either can't get their heads around the above or purely have an axe to grind against Coach Robinson for a range of reasons we have seen. - anything from his stance on inclusiveness , discrimination to asking not to boo certain players and anything in between.

I do think some maybe taking the piss as they say but I am sure there are others who do have an intense dislike of Coach Robinson

I will also back the Coaching Staff and Players myself through thick and thin 100%

You make some good points about our injury list and how other clubs would fare given the same situation.

The form, or lack of, from certain players rests on the coach however. It's his job to get the best out of his players.

Time to give Robert Toia his opportunity.

                            He is in form.
                            He is a natural centre.

                            Better than momo, allan etc

Unlikely I think. The coach is not usually prone to bold decisions. I'd like to see him on the bench but given it's Melbourne the bench will be forward heavy most likely. Looks like if we're gonna win it'll be Teddy up the guts.

Pretty sure he plays on the left so doubt that will happen
