  • Sandon Smith

Has improved every week this year playing NRL
That #14 jersey is his next year and hopefully progresses into being our long term #6

His impact when coming on won us the game last week and almost again last night
Has fantastic instinct for a young kid

He was great. He’s very talented.

Allen, too, has gone to another level in the final games. I was disappointed in him earlier considering his SOO credentials and what seemed promising potential when he was at Souths. I don't know if he's staying but for mine he's a keeper.

I was annoyed at the needless offside penalty near the end which cost us, but overall, he was much better than many of us expected.

Playing too well for us to afford him as a backup. Probably the same for Pauga.

Allan was great. Hope he stays. Good and versatile backup.

Good to see Sandon's development from the first time I seen him playing for the Central Coast Roosters in the Regional Andrew Johns/Laurie Daley cup comps to now.

2021 he was playing SG Ball with Siua Wong and Tyler Moriarty - Ethan King too

His Touch Football background comes into play with his passing game/running game and anticipation - Australian Schools Rep in Touch Footy.

Just needs to back himself more in games - I know that Sam Walker and Luke Keary will always be calling for the ball but he also needs to play what he sees,

That run from dummy half when he linked with Victor Radley and his pass for the try by Lindsay Collins are two examples of playing what he sees

I don't think playing Sandon at 14 has an effect on whether Connor Watson plays as Watson could well be used as a utility forward - Lock for an example

I don't think there's a real necessity to re-sign Connor Watson to be brutally honest.

Sandon is a real versatile utility option and could be a suitable option to replace Keary in due course. Really impressed by him as of late.

Agreed. I don’t think we have ever really got all that much out of Watto. He’s been ok cover in a utility role but that’s it. I can’t see his future here taking us any further forward.
